Aussie designed and doesn't require a hub, only Wifi. Also works well with Home Assistant, Google Assistant, Alexa and HomeKit.
Historical lowest price according to the Camels
If you're after just White B22, they're also down to $12 on Amazon AU

Heads up:
Comments on reddit about lifx lights that come in rectangular boxes (as opposed to cylindrical) are poor.
Also officeworks was (still is?) doing a clearance on three or four of lifx models.
is LIFX an Australian company?
LIFX was owned by an ASX company. They went in to receivership and then were purchased by a US company.
Some of the early engineering happened in Melbourne, even though the HQ was in the Bay Area. The founder had connections in the local tech community.
Buddy Technologies bought them a few year back and customer service was pretty poor since then. From what I've the bankruptcy didn't help on that front.
i see thanks mate, I thought they are a google -owned subdiary.
Buyer beware on LIFX; have a house full of them and they have worked well, but if something goes wrong - ZERO support and told to just return to retailer for refund.
They have no stock in Australia to send to retailers and I have just had to start replacing with Philips due to the issues with the company.
Great price and great product (when it works) lots of niggly issues (see the subreddit r/lifx)
Upvote due to good bargain though :)
Recently lodged a warranty claim for a white-to-warm b22 as colour spec had gone, showed red/blue instead, although it took a while of back-forth emails over a few weeks (inc. video of the behaviour) LIFX support did issue a replacement (was within warranty period). Replacement took some time to be issued as a local dealer was waiting on relevant info.
Yep, I also have a house full of them. When they work, they're great, but same experience as you when they don't.
And the stock levels and lack of new products/information for about 12 months now, coupled with the buy out of the company, is very concerning. There's a major risk because the lights rely on a remote server to function (as smart lights) and if they ever stop supplying that service they are useless.
IMHO there's a significant risk that they will completely shut down the brand in the not too distant future.
I've started shifting to Philips because (a) they are not going to go bust and (b) they appear to have actual customer service.

Damnit! I got all excited until I re-read again and B22 registered. I haven't seen the E27 version of the 1000 lumen around in Australian for ages, cheap or otherwise.
The ones I've got of these (in E27 format) have worked well for me. I'm happy with the colour of the light (ie no funky greenness). Generally control them through voice control with Alexa, which does the job, although a couple of (non-hardwired) physical buttons might be on the cards at some point.
Just FYI my experience with a LIFX RGB globe is pretty terrible. It's stuck on a broken firmware so cannot be connected to anything. I tried all the troubleshooting steps and looking at Reddit, there's a lot of other people in my boat.
Alright guys here is my LIFX experience. Keep in mind this is a 1:1 sample because I only purchased one bulb but here it is.
I got just one Day and Dusk bulb to use as a daylight light and nightlight in the evening for going to the toilet.
Worked fine as scheduled for around 2 years then suddenly an update messed it up.
After working fine without needing any adjustments for so long, it would no longer turn on and off as scheduled. A few days later I realized this was because it was dropping off the WiFi regularly and so it sometimes wouldn't even show up as connected/online in the App.
Waited for the next update, still the same issue. Got fed up and decided to put it on a mechanical timer from bunnings. Works fine this way because I just use it as a nightlight on the same light setting (low brightness, warm orange white) and it remembers the last used light setting even if the timer cuts the power.
A few months ago, I opened up the App while it was powered on and there was another update. I remember vaguely it said "fixes connectivity issues" etc. Updated firmware with the App and thought it would be fixed. Nope still drops off WiFi and regularly fails to turn on or off as scheduled. Back on the mechanical timer.
I ruled out WiFi issues because it worked fine for 2 years with the same setup, and I have a tonne of other 2.4Ghz WiFi devices which stay connected constantly.
Oddly I also noticed that with every update, the warmest colour of the bulb got lighter. A big enough shift in colour to notice instantly.
First time round I thought ok maybe it's preserving LED lifespan fair enough. But it happened a second time with the recent update. When I bought it the warmest colour was deep orange, you could almost call it red. But after the latest update now it's basically super light orange almost like warm white and not the dark nightlight colour that I bought it for. Also for some strange reason if I look around my room while it's on, I can now see a red and blue shadow as I look past the bulb. Like some weird refresh rate LED colour shift if I don't directly look at the bulb. This also didn't happen when I first bought the bulb, and even after the first update which made it lighter in orange. It started happening after the 2nd update.
The updated change in colour is definitely intentional as well. Because it shows in the App kelvin wheel. Used to be about 4 blocks of shades of orange. Now after the 2nd update there is just 1 block of orange. And it's not even a orange hue on the bulb.
So for some reason after using the bulb for 2 years the experience suddenly with updates got worse. As if they made it to last too long and want me to replace it with a new one.
Being an LED bulb I expected it to last 10+ years without issue not replace it after 2 years.
Looks like they are price matching jbhifi. Also a good time to go to bunning for a 10% price beat.
