    Nice deal.

I'm waiting for a feal on Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray. It seems to do better just based on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYxKQwZah1s

    • +2

Repco and Amazon has it $40

    • +4

Can confirm turtle is amazing. Harder to apply, smudges all over if you don’t wipe with fresh cloth. I used to pay close to 2k to pros, but with the current economic climate, this is a very good compromise

      • +3

The 2K stuff wouldn't need re-applying every few weeks, should last a few years with maintenance, a proper ceramic coat is a lot different to this stuff.

    • +4

Ive used both and prefer megs.
don't get me wrong, turtle wax is good stuff.
      as per the previous comment,
TW definitely find it harder to apply + smudges/smears a lot.

  • Bought a recent second bottle quick easy wipe after car wash

Still waiting for items placed 2 weeks ago with zero communication. Think I would of learned my lession with this mob by now

    • +3

Same, don’t order from them if need it urgently

    • +2

Ordered two weeks ago and posted today.

I order periodically from them and had items quick to dispatch if out of their sales periods and longer if during or niche items.

    • Yeah Sparesbox were terrible - I bought a small Bosch rear wiper replacement a few weeks ago - they took 2 weeks to ship it (and even then only after me emailing them about it), then Australia Post sent it all around the country: Melbourne > Brisbane > Sydney > Brisbane > Sunshine Coast > Brisbane > Sunshine Coast before finally delivering to me. In the end it took 5 weeks to receive it.

Sparesbox had sent a small 30cm Bosch wiper blade in a 1m long box, no wonder it took so long to get to me.

  • Reminder to try a price beat at SCA. I've done it via chat a few times before. YMMV.

    • Closed for the day. Already tried my luck. Was gonna see if they would match/beat the SparesBox Ebay price.

  • Has anyone downloaded the SCA app??

    Any good?

Keep trying to promote to download it, when viewing SCA webpage…

Typing in 'supercheap auto' into store yields no positive results??

    • Have never seen the site promote an app, I don’t think they have one.

Got a screenie of these ads you’re seeing?

      • I got the pop up twice today while browsing SCA website

  • Don't forget to use $10 voucher if you received from Black Friday

turtle wax one works pretty well aswell

  • I've gone full circle with these sorts of spray finishes……keep coming back to this. Quick…easy to apply and lasts. Recommend

  • Is this a better buy than Autoglym extra gloss protection? Or NuFinish?

    • Better than nu finish polish. Nu finish polish will stain your trim pieces and is dusty. This is neither.

  • This or bowden's own bead

Ceramic is such a marketing term these days.

I tiled my car for a cheaper ceramic alternative

Thanks op. Bought one to give it a go.

Do you avoid spraying plastic and glass with this? How much of a bottle do you go through doing your car? T.I.A

    • I would avoid glass, plastic is ok. I got 5-7 washes a bottle, last a year. Remember wipe it dry after final rinse, could leave residue.

      • Thank you. Keen to try !

      • Does that mean you avoid spraying it on the roof of the car? As that will run onto the glass once you hose it.

        • +1

if you're worried about overspray, you can spray this onto an applicator pad and wipe it on

        • +1

That should be fine as long as not directly spray on glass, it just leave a bit of residue on glass, not a big deal.

  • track your item i bought off them and the item was "lost" and needed to be refunded

Cool thxs, the Meguiars Nxt wash is same price. I prefer this one

Fair warning, sparesbox can be pretty horrendous with shipping times.

    • Whenever I order through them, it's either really quick like 2-3 days, or 3-4 weeks. There doesn't seem to be any in between. This is over probably 30-40 orders over the past 2 years.

  • My car 6years old, will this make it shine and glossy again? Spray, rinse and wipe?

    • +1

For protecting paint, not fixing your paint. Need to get your paint in good order first. If reasonable condition a clay bar or clay bar cloth will help remove dirt from scratches prior to applying the protection coating.

    • $30 to make your 6 yr old car shine & glossy again!? That would be the OzBargain of the century!

      • You might need to clay bar to remove dirt etc and then apply this carefully.

    • Jaffer is not entirely correct

It will make if shinny and glossy again compared to not using any wax or coating

Use this with bowdens nanolicious and yes your car will be shinny and glossy

    • What about swirls and scratches on a neglected car? After clay bar and decontaminating the clear coat, aren't there any other steps before the ceramic protectant?

      • polish or compound as needed, then do an ipa wipe before adding the protective layer

        • ipa?

          • +1

            @nudy: Iso Propyl Alcohol….I presume.
Or just drink beer and spray this on

  • Anyone know if this is safe to be used on a wrapped car? :)

    • yes but check with your wrap manufacturer.

  • I use a CMX mother coating

    https://motherspolish.com.au/product/mothers-cmx-ceramic-spr…

Seems to be good on my Toyota.

    • I bought the same but didn't read the instructions prior to buying, for the CMX you need to spray onto a tower or applicator first to apply on and then buff it out after. i'm time poor and thought i could spray CMX directly onto the car and wipe off.

      • wonder which is better. I find the CMX is very good but haven't tried other ones.

  • Wonder how this compares to g teqniques crystal syrum
