      Circa 102 or around 8.5 standard drinks per bottle.
      That said, with a tolerance on the back label stated alcohols of + or - 1.5% that'd vary too!

        Is it common for winemakers to take advantage of that tolerance, and systematically over/understate the alcohol content?
        I believe that this is often done for kilojoule content on food labelling. And for car speedometers.

          Good question. I have never heard of that in the wine industry nor have I ever heard it discussed. It's not as if it can be done to any great degree. Most red wines will sit between 14 and 15.5% tops. Most wine labels are printed prior to bottling, so you're always taking an educated guess (it's an educated guess because the sugar level in the grapes at the time of picking broadly informs you of the final alcohol level post-fermentation) at the final post-bottling alcohol level but you'll always be within the legally permitted margin of error.

    I've got a few packs from bec hardy now, to the point where I have an alert for them set up in Ozbargin now, and can confidently say that they are more than worth $10 a bottle!
    They range from "ohh yeah that's ok" to "Oh, that's pretty good!" and people takeing a 2nd look at the label and getting the cheeky photo.
    At that price, roll the dice.
