Excellent watch. I have one. but take note the last time it didn't ship for 3 weeks after purchase - uncharacteristically slow for Amazon. (it was also Amazon UK).

Solid battery life is the standout feature of this watch - and gps tracking has been solid and reliable for me.

    • "it didn't ship for 3 weeks after purchase - uncharacteristically slow for Amazon. (it was also Amazon UK)."

That has been the case for me as well for all items from Amazon UK. At first I thought they were trying to get me to cancel an order because of the low price.
But after the third time it happened I realized it's just normal for Amazon UK via Amazon AU purchases.

Great watch, and it can keep going indefinitely with solar charging (if you use it accordingly), which is great if you are away somewhere sunny but don't want to pack the charging cable

    • "and it can keep going indefinitely with solar charging (if you use it accordingly)"

I think you mean just to indefinitely display the time, and maybe counting steps. The solar area is the black area within the bezel only (not including the light colored areas), so it's a lot less surface area than you would expect and charges the watch pretty slowly like a drip charge under full sun.
If you start using GPS or any other power hungry feature the solar will not be able to charge faster than the battery drains meaning eventually you will have to plug it in to charge, whether that be a month or 2 or so weeks.
So basically in varying conditions you should think of the solar as a feature that just lets the battery drain slower.
