Still poor value, after the 25% off

    • Sorry- how is this poor value? I think you will find it cheaper than Ultratune or others who provide similar services.

      • All on the first page of Google.com.au all below $126.75.

        http://www.virginiaautomotive.com.au/minor_service.htm $90
        http://budgetmobilemechanics.com.au/fixed_price_car_services… $119
        http://www.aprmechanical.com.au/page6.php $99 (currently on sale - down from $129)

So this is 40% more expensive than the cheapest place I could find with a two minute google search.

        • That may be true but some people prefer to use NRMA MotorServe for their car servicing needs… including myself. It still represents good value for these people.

        • depends on how much you put a value on the 'trust' some car drivers may have in an 'NRMA' name over the generic mechanic workshops you have posted above..

I personally don't, but also use a mechanic who isn't the cheapest but well regarded in my area.
(though with a minor service which is what? change the oil filter, pour in some new oil and make sure nothing looks broken? its probably much less relevant :) )

        • +1

          Exactly.
I had my car towed to NRMA Artarmon after a problem.
After reading these reviews (https://plus.google.com/111906535665791089843/about?gl=AU&hl…) I pulled the car out quick smart. Turned out their suspected diagnosis was incorrect as well, after being looked at by an independent.

Deal is fine if it's a place where you normally go, but not worthwhile switching to save.

  • $126+ for an oil change and thats after the discount, what a rip off!!
