Any chance Ring might release a new model doorbell soon? Despite the annoyances of the Ring ecosystem for the most part it works and is reasonably wife friendly. Currently have the 2nd generation but seems like a long time since the 4th gen came out and I’m sure if I purchase the 4th then the 5th will come out the following week.

Sorry OP the last vestige of honour in the camera market died with Eufy in my opinion.
The fact that they straight up lied in their advertising and didn't respond with an apology and a fix but a half ass explanation is good enough reason to give you dollars to someone who hasn't been ousted yet.
in my opinion, this company is dishonest in how they handle things. if i want nothing to be uploaded, it means i value privacy. this company obviously doesnt care. will definitely steer away from EUFY

you forgot Apple with its Homekit. Strictly off-cloud home automation, unless you choose to use Secure Video.
