Much quicker and easier.
But someone might have points to burn I guess
Other than foldable design and longer battery; is there a good reason why someone would get this rather than the XM5?
It's actually not foldable for the Momentum 4 either.
Main pros are battery and while subjective, generally regarded as better sound (less "veiled" or compressed sound, deeper sub-bass without recessing midrange as much as the XM5).
Comfort seems to be very subjective between the two, with some people disliking the thin headband of the XM5 but others saying the top of the headband puts uncomfortable pressure on the Momentum 4. One thing I've disliked about the XM5 and my previous XM3 was the shallow earcups that mean your ear presses against the speaker fabric.
I was trying as bunch out the other day and ended up going with the Bowers and Wilkins PX7 S2 in the same price range which are $534 on the Qantas store. Much better precision and instrument separation than the XM5 and Momentum, and faaaaaar nicer construction. The downside is for those that like a lot of sub-bass it's a much tighter bass so very accurate but not as "fun" / subwoofer-like or boomy.
I've owned both…
XM5 pros: app and controls are better, more polished. Noise cancelling is also better. Build quality is also better.
Momentum 4: I preferred the sound, and battery life is better. I also preferred the fit.
Returned xm5 due to confort issues (strange I know)
Returned momentum 4 due to a crap load of issues with the firmware.
Better off getting it for $460 on Amazon.
