How quickly would they start to fail if I used them with a hammer as they have no tang? I rarely use a chisel without a hammer in my diy stuff.
I suppose it depends on if you're chiseling pine or sleepers.
If you're not belting them with a mallet they'll last for ages, I was using tangless chisels for a decade to rip holes in metal roofs before one finally failed on me. Stanley is fairly reputable when it comes to their hand tools
