This previously popular tablet is on sale again and cheaper than last time. It's the successor to the original Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad (Tab 11). Both the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants are on sale with the latter being a better performer.

Edit: Store coupon has expired. Updated with new price.

Featuring Android 12, 10.6" 2000x1200 IPS 400nits display, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage (supports MicroSD), mid-range Qualcomm 680 CPU with Adreno 610 GPU, 7700mAh battery with 20W PD charging, 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos, 3.5mm audio jack, 8MP front + rear camera, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C.

The seller has opted to flash global firmware on this tablet instead of the stock ZUI (Lenovo China's Android fork), so there's a chance Netflix might not be in HD. I don't own the tablet so I can't test. Either way it's a good price for some good hardware that's more powerful than the predecessor.

I think I paid any 240 a few weeks ago. Have the tablet. Good quality. Nice screen and speakers.

    • Tried out Netflix?

      • Just received mine and it is unfortunately limited to SD. No way to fix this I assume?

        • Do you get anything about the bootloader being unlocked when you turn it on?

          • @Clear: Yup

            • @tripdubz: Locking the bootloader should be enough but I haven't really researched this tablet specifically. There's a batchscript here that has done it for other Lenovo tablets but I don't know if that'll work for this one. I'd have to look around in the Lenovo P11 forum on XDA.

              • @Clear: Thanks, will have a look. P.S. Hope you're recovering well!

It's been a while since you could buy a good tablet for ~$200

  • Great tablet

  • Lenovo deal.

    • Just forgetting one thing :P

I'm getting $233, does the price not include tax?

EDIT, think i had the pack with the case….

    • +1

      You have both codes added?

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate, GST inclusive

I used the actual USD to AUD exchange rate. Setting AliExpress to AUD or letting PayPal do the conversion will be inflated. Having a currency conversion free card added in PayPal, then paying with that in USD will get you close to the current rate.

      • +1

I'm also getting $233. The ABBABBABB code isn't working for me. "We don't recognize this promo code. Have another try."

I've been looking at this for a while. I kind of understand the issue with netflix and the whitelisting and what not. But I don't use netflix, so I'm ok on that front. Quick question though: will I have any issues streaming 1080p from LAN plex server, or my jellyfin server on the net? As in, the cause of the netflix issue —> will that affect my plex/jellyfin usage?

    • +3

Widevine DRM won't have an impact on those.

      • thanks, much appreciated :-)

I'm getting $219.12 and it says it does not recognize ABBABBABB

    • Looks like that code expired.

  • I got my tablet few days ago, arrived in around 12 days. I found its a bit sluggish on the UI like ipad 4th gen that has been updated to iOS 16.

    • Probably because the global ROM belongs to a different tablet. With ZUI I'm sure it would be fine.

      • is there a way to 'restore' the ZUI?

        • I'd like to second this. would be great to have a link to instructions/video on how to put the ZUI ROM back into this tablet.

          • @grumblerain: You guys have any luck with rom?

            • @linoc66: nope
I asked here and also tried asking seller. seller's responses so far:
Me: Quick question: how can i install the ZUI rom rather than the global ROM? I've heard the ZUI rom is quicker and more responsive on this tablet. Thanks.

Seller: Hello, the whole series of tablet computers have been upgraded to the international Android system. You cannot install the Chinese firmware. Chinese firmware does not support Google applications. We recommend that you continue to use the international Android system.

Me: i don't need google applications. i will be using it offline for media watching. is it possible to get the default ZUI firmware?

Seller: The ZUI firmware is too large to be sent to your email address.

Me: is it not available for download on the internet somewhere? perhaps you can host it on a google drive, or dropbox, or any other host of other options

Seller has yet to reply to that.

              • @grumblerain: Seller replied to me about your last question, they said do not flash chinese firmware as it might brick the tablet and they won't be able to offer support.

                • @[Deactivated]: tbh, at $200aud, i'm willing to potentially brick the tablet. they always say that as a legal disclaimer type of thing, but i've never had a device brick on me. and i've been at it for decades lol. maybe i've gotten lucky, but w/e, it's just $200. I'm going to be using this device a lot, and i'm just going to get annoyed every single time i swipe because it really is noticeable sluggish/laggy.

    • +1

On my 2021 version, disabling the Entertainment swipe left on the home screen made a huge difference to the responsiveness. (To disable it's a toggle switch in home screen settings )

      • Thanks, I'll give this a try

      • fwiw, I did do this and it didn't really make any noticeable difference on my tablet. my tablet continues to be a bit sluggish in responsiveness. having said that, it plays videos perfectly, so no issues on that front. Just UI is sluggish/laggy.

        • try doing factory reset, pressing power and volume down or up button for some seconds.

after reset I feel its quite fast, especially after turning off the Entertainment swipe.

      • I find my tablet (tb-j606f) generally good, but sometimes leaves me waiting. Two common issues for me are 1. keyboard response … unless I type very slowly, and I'm not a fast typer, I end up with crap (far worse than a few typos), and 2. in portrait mode … I regularly get an accidental touch (seems to be triggered by my clothing?) on the bottom of the screen, maybe from the narrow bezel and overly sensitive screen.

    • P.S. I ordered on 24th nov, arrived 5th december, so around ~11 days too. extremely fast for aliexpress! I thought I'd be in it for the long haul, but was very pleasantly surprised.

After hours of research… I decided to go with this tablet.
Came to OZB to see if there were any AliE promo codes, & find this post.

I went with the full kit = includes Bluetooth Keyboard (which is also a case), Mouse, Screen Protector, Stylus.
    Total = $266.61 (AU $289.99 - $51.03 using BFS22 (for some reason it wouldn't accept BFS30), $27.65 tax (I don't have other card)

If you wanna see a good review = https://youtu.be/2YapqIRhCu4

    • Thanks brah. Thinking of getting this too.

  • Wish it had a proximity sensor. Good price for a wall based dashboard.

  • I wish I’d remembered to look for these a month ago. Nothing will arrive for xmas 😔

  • Ordered one. Never orderd via AliEx before, they look so dodgy, haha

    • +1

fwiw: I've been using aliexpress for years, have ordered literally hundreds of items. never had a single issue. not one.

      • thanks mate, will see how it goes.

  • Thanks. Was looking to get a tab for video messenger and playing Roblox and Minecraft (and similar).
Finally pulled the pin on this, missed out on the discount and paid $258 (Inc tax). It's a present for my 10 year old but looks unlikely it'll be here for Christmas. I mistakenly held off hoping that there would be some good BF/CM sales locally, unfortunately there wasn't.

Either way, hopefully this does the job better than her Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) that seems to be struggling with Roblox etc.

  • Got one from the last sale very sluggish on all apps and games , widevine is borked low res on all videos and it boots with a splash screen warning about unlocked boot loader and insecure data. AVOID. Seller is arrogant and no help.

    • Glad I went with the M10 Plus 3rd gen, even if the chipset is a bit weaker. It still does some gaming well on medium settings playing at 30FPS (FIFA Mobile).

    • It's that due to the "global" rom that's been flashed by the seller or the actual tab? Do you think flashing original firmware would help relieve the "sluggish" issue?
I can deal with the low res videos as I doubt my daughter would care too much. As for the boot warning, the only time it be booted would be if the battery gets drained to empty or it needs a restart for some reason.

    • +2

This may help with the lag. Certainly seems a ROM from another tablet is causing issues instead of stock. I won't post again.

    • You get what you pay for, I guess?

  • i just received mine in the mail, box is dented, plastic has been cut opened plus the sticker on the box?
also get that boot screen warning.
is it safe to put sensitive data on it ?

    • Interesting - My thoughts would be - Possibly dented via postage. If you mean plastic (& sticker) covering the box for postage, also prob via postage, prob got caught on something. Postage/courier workers can be pretty rough, especially this time of year, items pass through a lot of hands>conveyor-belts>vehicles, before it reaches us.
As for boot screen - I've not received mine yet, but just reading the few posts above yours, gives some suggestions what to investigate.
I'd prob also be running some anti-virus/malware scans.

      • +2

The cut plastic and stickers im referring to is from the retail packaging not the delivery packaging.
E.G when you buy a phone, its shrinked wrapped and has a sticker between the top and bottom of the phone boxed to tell you its been opened or not.

        • Thanks for the heads-up, I'll make sure to video my parcel opening, & boot-up, just'n.

        • +2

Received mine yesterday as well. Based on the description on AliExpress, they open it to unlock the bootloader and install the global ROM.

I have since installed the CN rom. It feels a lot smoother to use. With a little of effort you can install google play store and sideload the apps you need.

          • +1

@triplezzb: Where did you get the CN ROM?

            • @Clear: +1 - I've been checking out a few youtubes, hard to know what/which to trust etc, so if you can recommend one of them also.

            • +4

@Clear: I followed these instruction and modified it for TB128FU

              qpsttool link
              CN rom link

Pretty straightforward using the above instructions.
Had to install Playstore using Le App Centre and sideload Netflix and Chrome Browser.

              • @triplezzb: Ta for the share

              • @triplezzb: I have installed the CN rom but for some reason cannot get the Playstore to connect just keeps saying

There was a problem communicating with Google servers

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the play store as well as making sure that google play services was enabled (disabled by default). I also have unticked the remove permissions and free up space button which seemed to be automatically ticked for all google based items.

          • @triplezzb: oooh, where did you get the ROM and how did you go about installing the CM rom?

  • Mine arrived with the screen bent.
    Ali express 40% refund…

    Options?

    • +2

      PayPal dispute is another option

    • +3

Reject the sellers 40% offer and demand a full refund. Be sure to include photos and provide a clear legitimate reason why it is useless to you (doesn't work, intended as a gift, or whatever). Use clear and simple language, and avoid using contractions (can't, didn't, etc) which confuse non-native speakers.

I had a knock on the door at 0730 this morn, wtf! better not be religious people.
    Was postie earning double time.
All good so far. Won't let me delete a lot of bloat apps I don't want, have to do some research on formatting (if possible).
