  • Thanks, double pass reserved, looking forward to a good show.

    • Glad to hear! We are always looking for more members at ON THE HOUSE so that we can continue to spread the word about great events. So, please tell your friends to join and they can also get a double pass… whilst the tickets are there!

      • Do we get any choice of seating?

  • Note that you can't purchase these to give to someone else - I purchased with the intention of giving the tickets to my parents, but the confirmation email says the purchaser must attend. Would have been good to know this beforehand.

    • Just give them the tickets. I doubt they check the ID

      • IDs are checked, so please respect the rules of how the system operates. It is so simple for people who want tickets to sign up and get their own!

          Right!

The guy buys them at the website for his folks. They are good hard working people. Christmas is around the corner so he thinks, "my folks will love a good performance". He pays for his hard earned money to pay for the booking fee which comes out of the mortgage offset. The folks get ready, turn up at the event and there is this guy at the door: "your tickets are not in your name". What happened to the Aussie spirit. The guy made a mistake, who read T&C these days, he didn't murder anyone but here we are.

Make sure you don't get the names wrong. If there is a spelling error, will you not be allowed in? Normally events don't have a name on tickets unless you pick up actual tickets at the counter for which an ID check would be reasonable but it may seem rather excessive for having an explanation and a photo of the ID of the original person and still not been allowed in. It is what it is.

          Rant end!

          • @Royale with cheese: This is not a case where your name will be on a door-list, actual tickets are generated, most likely with the name that you signed up as, similar to how you would get tickets through Ticketek or Ticketmaster. You will be fine if tickets are emailed, however best be safe if tickets need to be collected at box-office. Ticket delivery is still to be confirmed.

    • When you sign up to use the system, there are terms and conditions that you should scan quickly. You will find that there is a condition that tickets are not transferable :)

      • With respect, my 'Welcome to It's on the House' email says nothing about tickets being not transferrable.

I know, it's $5.90 - hardly going to break the bank for me. But, as Royale With Cheese said, it's the spirit of the thing.

Oh well. No point banging on about it. Just letting others know in case they were thinking of doing the same thing I was.

        • Fair point, however, please take a quick read through the terms and conditions to get a full understanding of how OTH works. It is hard to put all the information in a welcome email on sign up :)

  • Hi what if I wanna/need to bring a kid?

    • Please check that the event is suitable for a child. You will find a lot of description about the show online.

      • thanks OP! But I was wondering if I can "buy" 3 tickets?

        • You can do! You can get up to 4 seats. However, it is no longer free tickets. On the site y ou will now need to pay $10 admin fee and $5.9 handling fee

  • Cath Alcorn is the real deal, a great act.

  • +1

Went to the show last night, fantastic, very entertaining, great crowd and Catherine Alcorn and "the girls" were great - recommended

  • that's so good to hear… stay tuned - another event posted at ON THE HOUSE now…
