  Are these suitable if you just wear them everyday/regularly as walking shoes? Or would they degrade faster since they're 'running' shoes?

    most running shoes are suitable for walking. i used to wear kayanos for longer walks across different terrain for the stability. good grip on wet surfaces too, but the trade off is a softer outsole which will wear out quicker.

        on kayanos, they actually use a harder compound on the heel portion while the rest of the shoe gets a softer compound. in fact they were still really grippy when i'd worn the outsole right down but the cushioning was shot so they became my gardening shoes.
