  Just had a look around and saw a Zojirushi rice cooker available for $800. I'm obviously way out of the loop on the leaps in technology that the humble rice cooker has taken in the last few years.

Thanks, just bought one. My Zojirushi is somehow drying out the rice after 3-4 hours. It has been in use for 11 years now, but I can't find spare parts for it anymore.
