Just saw this was mk2 sorry!!
All good! I thought this was worth it's own post as its the MK.2 for the same price
Some people prefer mk.1 due to the adjustable stand, but it has a non-removable cable.
I prefer the mk.2 cause of the detachable cable, thanks for the post, been camping is for months to go on sale.
Can we get a survey of who prefers MK1 vs MK2 and why?
I'm undecided.
I prefer the cheapest one, but in this case, id go the detachable cable.
Mk1 has an adjustable stand. Removeable USB-C cable doesn't justify Mk2 enough for me. There's no other benefit.
As @Ausdave said above

I prefer the mk.2 due to the detachable cable. Aside from these 2 things I don't think there are any other differences
Was waiting patiently for this. Got one!
can anyone share your favourite and best 3 shortcut that you use on this streamdeck that has nothing to do with streaming?
i am trying to find a reason to snatch this deal… been googling, and cant find much of a use for myself. :S
thanks
smart home controls?
same lol
You can launch multiple apps with one press - say a set of apps for work, another for media, another for gaming etc. and within the same action setup volume, brightness etc.
Start any specific spotify playlist
Control lights in the room either as a different action or within the above automations.
I suggest you browse the integrations library and see what’s out there.
Worth trying - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPeCi943Zjs
Discord : Mute, Deafen, Open channel
Shortcuts to open: Bitwarden, Notes, Games
Media/Audio: Raise/Lower Volume, Adjust per app volume, Play/PauseThese are some obvious ones I think are applicable to people. None of them are useful if you aren't a power user. If you don't care about such then this song benefit you. If you want to get into it optimizing work flows and speeding up then Stream Deck is very powerful if you look into what it can do through the program. You can do virtually anything you can think of, and if it doesn't exist there are people who develop open source plugins to do what can't be done.
I have pages upon pages worth of Shortcuts that I use everyday, but it took me a long time to set them all up.
Even if I didn't have that many, just the ones I mentioned are so invaluable for my work flow.
Anyone else have their order come up as $169 after ordering? Showing as $139 but add to cart and order it changes to $169…
No, mine went through at $139.
No. $139 for me.
Strange. I did take screenshots showing $139 so will jump onto chat tomorrow and make sure I’m charged the right amount.
it's gone up to $169.
Deal over.
Edit: Deal is not over. I can still see $139$ but you must select MK1 and the page by default loads MK2 which is $169.
but the deal is for the MK2
This deal was for the mk2
can you turn on your laptop with it (without opening the hood), as I want my laptop to be under the desk?
as I want my laptop to be under the desk?
Surely that can't be good for your posture ???
Was able to get a "used" one for $122 using a brand new acc got the $10 off. But I have ordered the used one before and it was brand new. Just the packaging was bit messed up..
Thanks for the post really do appreciate it!
No more used right? Or am I not looking in the right section?
no more. Bought all 3 which were in stock at the time
What do people use these for ???
Are they just switches?
I Am reading the comments to know the same
I was hoping someone could summarise here so I don't need to read all the comments.
I'll do you one better. You don't even need to read.
@tof: Thanks… Looks like I can already do most of that stuff with my programmable keyboard.
Thanks OP. Got one.
Shameless cut and paste from just over 12 months ago:
I've commented on my love for these before. I've got23 x 15 button units and an XL.
They look after my 5 data projectors, sound console,23 vision switchers, twothree matrix video hubs, 5 mac computers running presentations, playback software, lighting console, motorised house curtain. Managing this stuff as a single operator at times would have been overwhelming but the streamdecks (using Companion software) have transformed my workflow and ability to do multiple tasks with a single button press. It also allows me to preset complex technical tasks that can be easily controlled by non tech staff. They have been a complete gamechanger for me.Wow, sounds like an amazing workflow, would love to see a shot of them in action.
You find them completely reliable for this sort of time sensitive work flow?
If I get a chance I'll do a dodgy wobblycam of the setup :-)
As far as reliability is concerned, they have been rock solid with thousands of reliable cues triggered. The only major flakiness has been their control of powerpoint presentations but that is an issue with the module used - not the hardware. The Companion Software is very actively supported and has a large amount of testers that are always keen to try out Beta versions as there is always a raft of new hardware control available with each release. Beta's are always a risk so I only play with them between critical shows. I'm pinching myself that it's still free!Sounds really amazing, you're really tempting me!
This all has to be run through the companion software on a computer yes, doesn't work for any standalone hardware directly? Eg. thinking about control of an XR18 console to trigger scenes, Cymatic playback, or other things along those lines.
@snoopydoop: Correct, you neet to run it on a computer (I have run it off a Raspberry Pi4 as well). I didn't realise they had added the XR/MR modules - I have an MR-18 as well so thanks for the heads up!! :-) .
Amazing price! Glad I didn’t buy the white one at $169 today.
