Holding out for black friday to get closer to $1000, though pretty good price compared to other historical sales.
RRP is $1999.
This is the top tier model and highly reviewed.

Slightly cheaper at Good Guys Commercial
I picked this up from JB hi-fi 2 weeks ago for 1260 with 5 year extended replacement warranty . Love this soundbar setup
Did you pricematch with someone or they just offered this in store or JB Direct ?
you could try getting someone to price match this deal.
https://countdowndeals.com.au/products/samsung-hw-q990b-q-se…
its a good price…I was tempted…. but the website has terrible reviews.
I pricematched appliance central or powerland and he said the can do it cheaper and with extra warranty
Which store did you get to price match?
Jbhifi Carindale
Thanks
I have it and it has been great.
It’s also sold by Amazon which may come up on a sale soon
Says no stock though.
You can still order it. It’s on back order
I bought the HW-Q900A a while back and regret not getting the Q9500 for the rear speakers.
Looks like the SWA-9500S speaker kit is sold out/not available everywhere now.
Anyone know if there is a new rear speaker kit that is compatible?
This or Sonos arc?
https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/tools/compare/sonos-arc-with…
worth noting that the complete sonos setup will cost you over double the samsung
edit: since when are rtings comparisons behind a paywall?
That’s what I noticed this morning when I was checking/comparing rtings. Subscription for everything that’s what’s coming.
But what would you recommend? Paying extra for Sonos worth it?
Sonos if you are or would like to be invested in the multiroom audio setup, otherwise Samsung.
The Samsung is the pick of soundbars for Surround Sound (5.1 or Atmos) and is easily the pick for a TV/Theatre environment. Bose and Sonos have an edge for music though. The Samsung is especially hard to beat when you take price into equation.
@SanguinarySeraph: Thanks.
Regretting not taking advantage of recent Harvey Norman 50% off soundbar with TV purchase. Would’ve brought this down to $997 :(
happily spend an extra hundred or so to avoid giving Jerry any business.
Was actually 50% off soundbar and 15% off entire purchase that first night so more like $850.
Kicking myself too tbh
Be patient team.
It may or may not come down much cheaper than this, but I'd be pretty confident that someone else will be doing it at a similar price and you can skip the delivery cost at the very least.
I called TGG and they agreed to price match it. Still debating between Sonos and Samsung. Rtings rates Samsung Q990B as the best soundbar of 2022.
Still debating? You ok with double the price for a lesser home cinema experience?
Unless your main source is stereo music?
Just negotiated this for $1195 inc delivery from the local Harvey Norman, looks like theres a bit of flexibility with pricing at the moment with everyone competing against each other.
Any chance you can share your receipt?
Likewise would you be able to share your receipt?
Good deal. JB will have it at $1399 for BF.
