James Hoffman would not approve. Might be good for weed though.

    Might work for filter?

Good to whizz herbs and what not.
Wouldn't grind consistently fine enough for good coffee.

This will do for that (it's what I currently use to grind coffee, actually).

      • +1

Yeah technically they will both 'grind' coffee and by grind I mean lawn mow, smash to irregular bits.

A real grinder makes particles in a completely different way, consistently with less heat and faster.

Yeah, I meant the chopper will do for chopping "herbs and what not" (not sure why it got negged).

@wisdomtooth: People who think you're wrong will neg you for trying to help.

      • That's a chopper not a grinder, imo

        • +1

          Get to da choppah.

    • +1

I wouldn't want to use a hopper style grinder for anything other than coffee. Things will get stuck in the burrs (or whatever… this has). Better to use a blade chopper style grinder for "herbs"

My local Kmart has to keep all the grinders behind the service desk 😂😂

    • Why though?

    • I dont see why not, let us know how it goes.

  • What is all the complaints?

Is it a real conical-burr grinder or a blade "chopper"?

    • The description says it's a hopper, not a chopper (plus would "13 grind size settings" be feasible with a chopper?).

  • +1

    There's a reason this is on clearance…

    • If I ever had that mindset, I wouldn't be on OzB.

It's all I need for my stovetop pot. I'm emphatically NOT a snob about these things.

Looks like a cony burr to me?

  • +1

This doesn't do a very fine grind plus it's very loud, but has been running every day for about a year now

    • I keep hearing about not grinding it too fine, so the water can actually get through…
