First time poster long time lurker.

Seems like a good price for a 2tb nvme drive. I've purchased one, will let you know if it's a pricing error or not but it seems legit.

  • It'll be better if mentioned "Delivered @ Amazon UK via AU" ;)

so many of these datastorage pinging me for 30+votes haha ..

      • I know right lol xD

  • This, or $78 more for the P5? Hmmm….

    • Depends if ur on a budget or not.

Love the profile picture btw lol

  • +2

Probably another one of those "good prices that we wont ship to AU" deals

  • +1

At this price range, I would rather go for P5.

  • Does this work for the PS5?

    • Works but not optimal speedwise, Gen4 ones are better for PS5.

      • +1

Lol no, this is gen 3 so 100% not working

  • DRAMless QLC.
Good deal if you're only looking for decently fast bulk storage
It seems to have pretty low power consumption too.

Think I'll wait for black Friday deals

    • +2

Wait till a 4tb M.2 NVMe going for $70 get posted here soon, ofc shipped by Amazon UK 😉😉

    • I think this is part of their Black Friday deals, just started early.

    • It has begun

  • No heat sink with this, will need to buy separately.

    • +6

      Probably wont need a heatsink.
QLC will throttle performance before heat does and it only uses 3.5w peak according to tom's hardware compared to the 6w+ of faster drives.

  • Not a price error OP, sells for a little over $200 at a few stores in Australia. So just a good price.

  • +1

So many deals on SSDs, am I missing something?

    • +9

Don't know about you but I'm missing money.

  • Seems like a good deal, but does it spark joy? I'll continue the waiting game

  • Decent deal for use as secondary storage device. I would grab one if I had a spare slot on my mobo.
Could also use with enclosure if you prefer the faster speeds

    • Could also use with enclosure if you prefer the faster speeds

What are we comparing to? As in putting it in a USB-C enclosure makes it somehow faster? (I assume that's not the case)

      • Faster than regular external storage devices?
40Gbps TB4 enclosures have been getting popular lately, and a lot of 10Gbps USB 3 Gen 2 enclosures have been going on sale as well.

        • Got it.

Generally you get an SSD for reliablity and faster speeds ;)
