I'm waiting for the 110% cashback on Deliveroo gift cards
Very poor form by ShopBack to do this before they have resolved the Deliveroo issue.
Tone deaf as someone else said.
Resolve the Deliveroo issue first.
Yeah….nah! They will be the next to go
Hm… is doordash also going into voluntary administration 🤔
Fool me once, strike one. Fool me twice; strike three

In an article today, Jeffrey Funk and Gary Smith puzzle over the way investors have “rained cash” on unprofitable companies like Uber, Airbnb, DoorDash, etc. Yes, they are icons of popular culture. No, unlike Apple and Google, they do not make money: Here are their stats from the table the authors offer:Company Founded Funds Raised Cumulative Losses
Uber Technologies 2009 $25.2 billion $31.7 billion
Airbnb 2008 $6.0 billion $6.0 billion
Door Dash 2013 $2.5 billion $4.6 billionhttps://mindmatters.ai/2022/09/warning-unicorn-stocks-may-be…
That's because the barriers to entry are low and the business model is easily replicated, resulting in a race to the bottom. Trying to start another Apple or Google would be like reinventing the wheel.

haha is that a joke?
True! And this must be the worst timing to put such a deal in ozbargain history. lol
Yeah too soon lol 😂 must be a lol post boys at shopback having a laugh 😂
doordash seems doing well in Australia
https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/food-fl…How does that imply they're doing well?
Just burning more investor cash until the taps are shut off.
i am gonna use whatever is left in my doordash gift card, cant take another heartbreak in the same week
I predict the offer to be about as valuable as Deliveroo and Voly vouchers today.
Voly?
To be fair I live in St George area and Doordash has been pretty good.
The cashback on gift voucher deal work well for me when they give away free dashpass last time.
When the pass expired I still have about 60 bucks left and I just use up when I was lazy or with free/cheap delivery offers.
Just on a side note. Did you guys realize that food delivery services in Australia can only get usage when they give big discount? Old timers will remember delivery hero, we must have drove them bankrupt with all the free/discounted food. The current ones think they are smarter but many order using multi accounts to use discount voucher/code.
I stop using deliveroo when we found out they jacked up the price by 300%.
Evidence: https://imgur.com/NKvzKv9
The prices are massively jacked up on all of the apps. Most blatant is when I see Uber do 2-for-1 promos, yet it costs $35 for 1 kebab apparently and in the end you still pay $40 for two kebabs which you could have got for $30 in person.
Your not doing it right if your even looking at $35 kebabs. Bullshit example!
You all are using food delivery for the wrong reason….
I just look at my order history of both Deliveroo and Doordash, I have only pay once for a full price meal. That is a four dish order that will normally cost $70 in house but i pay $80 when delivered and the restaurant is almost 5Km away from me. Which is an acceptable charge.
The rest are all Macas, KFC, Red Rooster plus other all was on special. I would have paid the same or less in house, but have it delivered to my door, why not?
I don't know if others are like me but if true then this is why this business will not work in Australia as operators will keep losing money if customer only shop with discount codes/deals.
@tc423 , @CheapBrah
deliveroo when we found out they jacked up the price
the restaurants choose what price to set isn't it..?
can't fully blast the food companies for that .
might wanna redirect your anger to the store itself for gouging their patrons!!
(literally sometimes mention in my order review when resttos have a massive difference to in-house prices on certain items)
They jack their price to cover the fee the delivery service charges, thats why generally on Uber prices are more jacked than on Menulog for example, since Uber charges the restaurant higher fees.
@CheapBrah: but 300% coverage!? yeahhnah

these types of sharks hate diligent people like us.

Looking for brave hero to stock this up
nice.
Not the best move SB. The Deliveroo collapse is still too raw.
Wonder how SB are going with “finding a resolution for our customers” for people who have Deliveroo gift cards. I hope this is not it.
Yeah…Nah…
Maybe this is fundraising to help payback those who bought deliveroo gc?
Read the room doordash
Looks like it starts tomorrow and its 15% on $50 and 10% on $100
Lol bad timing
MENULOG GOT US COVERED BOYZZ XD
