              @barryallen: It does not apply to the TCN gift cards in this deal, as they are physical EFTPOS gift cards, and the EFTPOS network cannot handle online transactions. That means you cannot directly use a TCN gift card in this deal featuring JB Hi-Fi on the JB Hi-Fi website.

              If you want to turn your physical TCN gift card into a JB Hi-Fi gift card, you must go to a physical JB Hi-Fi store and use the TCN gift card to purchase a physical JB Hi-Fi gift card. Tell staff you want to use a card as a payment method (not a gift card), and cross your fingers that the staff member will let you do this, as this is technically against JB Hi-Fi policy.

              There actually used to be an option to exchange part of or the full balance of a TCN gift card for a JB Hi-Fi gift card through the TCN website, but that option disappeared nearly a month ago. It will probably come back in a few weeks, but there is no guarantees it will ever come back.

                  @littlesoldier: I've bought from them before, but sparingly, and I don't plan on purchasing from them in the future (don't have gift cards either). I think I've done well at reducing their profit margin by only buying below cost.

                  My point still stands - the effect of selling below cost across the market will see brick & mortar stores, and small businesses go. That's what Amazon does to grab market share. And stuff Bezos.

    Coles/WW/BigW/Target etc runs 10% promotion on JB/TGG gift cards regularly, so the "net gain" is only 5% here.
    Given the current term deposit % is around 4%-4.5%, I am not going to buy as many as last year.
    Just in case TCN becomes the next deliveroo.

        In the last few days, I tried the Macquarie and the one of the city (Galleries) store, and they let me, but not the other 2 city stores (Westfield and The Strand Arcade). I agree wtih simon 84 that it depends on the staff there, so there is no guarantee that Macquarie and City (Galleries) store will work for you, but perhaps more likely to succeed.

      Give you an easy tip mate , buy some stuff from JB HIFI using the gift card and simply return it back to them without opening and request for the JB HIFI gift card and they will put the whole amount for you in a JB HI FI GIFT card

        Here are a couple of things to think about:

        • JB Hi-Fi was previously participating in the TCN gift card exchange facility, where you could exchange the full or part of the balance of a TCN gift card for a digital JB Hi-Fi gift card through the TCN website. However, JB Hi-Fi was removed from the facility about a month ago without any prior warning, so you can now only redeem TCN gift cards instore at JB Hi-Fi. Tough luck if you have TCN gift cards and live in a regional part of Australia where the nearest JB Hi-Fi store is over 100km away…

        • At least three retailers (Buy Aussie Now, Diesel, Temple & Webster) were removed from the TCN gift card scheme this year and there was no warning before any of them were removed. TCN was acting within their terms and conditions when this happened, as there is nothing to say they need to notify cardholders before a retailer is removed.

    Be aware guys, if you buy the TEEN TCN, you won't be able to use the gift card for purchases with JBHifi ONLINE but you can use it in store.

    When you put your card number on the 'how to use' section, JBHIFI isn't found on the list.

    However, I've tried using the TCN Home, they allow you to convert the gift cards to JBHifi voucher for you to use them online.

    I've tried reaching out to TCN about this but they were not helpful at all. So if you are getting the TCN TEEN, please be aware that it can only be used in store (JBHIFI).
