  • LOL.

Just make sure you don't use these when there are guests around.

I knew someone who used a pair of chopsticks.

    • +3

that's me sir! chopsticks do the job too :)

      • +7

Hard to look at this deal and not find your avatar confronting.

  • +2

It's about time someone solved this problem. Now we can finally move on to jet packs and curing cancer.

      • +1

        relevance?

        • relevance - no
          humour - yessir

  • +2

    i use chopsticks :D

but the FECS system sounds hilarious. interesting idea

    • yep. chocpstick is cheaper, but need some practise for those who never use one :)

    • chopsticks rule,
works for nearly anything like chips, popcorn, bhuja mix, prawn crackers, etc.

      • Hundreds and thousands?

        • +3

dude, you don't need any cutlery for those…you just snort 'em :p

        • -2

Lick your chopsticks and dip em in it.

I've picked up m&ms cos I don't fancy that milky smell left on your fingers.

        • +1

meh. cant be bothered. i just pour em straight to my mouth.

saves the time to pick them up with hands/chopsticks/whatevers.

    • I am thinking to buy one of this and throw away my chopsticks…hopefully this grabber can use with my soup noodle.

"If you are used to eating potato chips while working on the computer, but are too lazy to wipe off your grease-strained fingers, Potechi Hand will put an end to your dilemma."
Never in my life did I imagine one sentence being able to capture me so well…

    Pull my finger!

  • +7

For one thing, they can start reducing carbon footprint by stop producing crap like this

    • agree. the most stupid gadget of the century

    • +1

And if it's not food grade plastic, then you eating more than chips.

  • +3

I prefer to blend bags of chips into a shake and slurp on them - that way I can keep my hands free.

  • -1

    Ha. This is stupid.

  • -1

So can you make some for bum pinching?
That way I can keep my dirty old man habits, in this PC crazy world

  • -1

pretty sure this is what dane swan needs after he cruches up all the chips to make MORE CHIPS! brilliant…

  • "It is carefully designed to pick up your snack, be it popcorns or potato chips"

Not sure about popcorn!, given the small surface area, it will be like using a skill tester every time you reach for one…just imagine bringing one of these next time you go to the movies and with a first date… you'll surely be single for life.

Thank you, Karl Pilkington, for making my life THIS much better.

    • +1

      It's a crisp picker-uperer!

  • +1

maybe now we have an international standard precision instrument for a "pinch of salt"

  • +4

What a completely stupid item this is.

    Got mine now :-)

  • and to complete the 'lazy rotund geek set' all you need is the Nose Booger Picker & Bum Relief Scratcher rolf!@#

    • a real geek would hack this to make it do all of the above and more!

  • +2

Saw this on An Idiot Abroad! It's a Crisp Picker Upperer:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi5EeZsvhHU

  • Where does the coupon code go?

    EDIT: Never mind

    • So where did you put it ?? I have added to the cart my 15 picker's and logged onto Paypal and still not opportunity to put a code in !!!

EDIT NEVER MIND AS WELL - have to register first…

  • +3

    This is useless and stupid.

    Bought 12.

    :)

    • +2

      Bought 15 - beat that !!! :0)

  • Use it so you don't get grease on your hands? How do you grease off the chip picker upper? Is it dishwasher safe?

    • "But the salt on the potato chips also gets all over the Potechi Hand. In order to solve this problem, the Potechi Hand includes an Finger Easy Cleaning System (FECS). When you turn this feature on, the index finger and thumb of the hand moves to rub off the salt"

    • You can then buy a no touch cleaning system to ensure you never need to come into contact with potato chip grease ever again http://www.tensens.com.au/INTKAIVAC1250/Kaivac-1250-No-Touch…

      • +2

….except for all the potato chip grease in your mouth and arteries and heart valves LOL.

        • getting your fingers salty/greasy is half the fun of eating chips! just like the Colonel says "finger lickin' good"! similar to when i was a kid and mum would let me lick clean the cake batter off the egg whisk/bowl…

  • where do you enter the code?

  • +5

This THE most USELESS ITEM I have ever seen on OzBargain.

It is a total waste of resources, adds to the already massive pollution load on the planet, and most likely will only partially work, if it even works at all..

It looks brilliant. I just bought 10 of 'em !

    Thanks OP.

  • +1

Finally, a digital solution to an age-old problem.

  • I use cheap homebrand coles or woolworths sandwich plastic bag as a glove. Not very environmentally friendly though LOL

  • coupon seems to have expired (just attempted to waste $1.49)

  • I pour chips into a bowl and use a spoon…

  • Not a bargain when i can use my fingers which came FREE with my being

  • -1

You bought WHAT??! Yells the missus, after buying 4 of them and excitedly trying to explain what they were. Women…

  • I really can't.

  • These things'd go well at a cricket match.

  • I'm embarrassed to admit that I can't wait for this bit-o-junk to arrive. The letter box continues to be empty.

    • It came today! And there was probably more than $1.49 worth of bubble wrap around it LOL.

How do they manage to post these things for such minuscule amounts? It would cost $6 in postage just to send to my next door neighbour.

      • Mine turned up today as well. I am sort of disappointed to say that it looks like a used product :( Either that or a poorly made one. It has scratches on it, and small yellow and blue markings here and there.

  • Buyers remorse. Got mine and now I don't know what to do with them…
