    prices are definitely trending down

    the gauging premium that airlines are charging is probably having an effect on forward bookings + increasing supply (of planes/seats) + ā†“ consumer discretionary spending on overseas holidays = prices back down to pre-COVID levels within the next 6 months I'd say

      I think it's more the route from HK is now open due to recent covid restriction lifts, allowing for more transits to Europe.
      China southern was another big player in this area (to europe and NA) and can help drive down prices, but transiting via guangzhou isn't quite an option just yet.

    Just curious op - I found these first flights late last night on your site - do you use data that users uncover to find deals? Totally no sweat, was just interested!

    Now if you can find me flights on Etihad/Singapore/Qatar Mel-Mad under 24 hour flight time less than $2k, I will be impressed :) In 2019 they could be had for $1200 at times!

        That is one of the reason for the competitive airfare. Great airlines Cathay.. but caught a bit in the China Covid policy

      I booked just over 3 months and paid $100 extra over those prices. You just need to play around with the dates and also find the days cathay actually fly

    I couldnt get anywhere these advertised prices with some quick searches from brisbane to zurich and milan. Edit - I found clicking " I just want the cheapest fair" shows the discounted dates . Thanks

    Hey op, your site provides link to other sites for buying the tickets. Is there a trustworthy site you can recommend? Gotogate and mytrip have pretty bad reviews and that's where your site points to. Would anyone like to share their experience with these sites? Thnx

      Personally I'd just spend the extra ($100 for the dates I randomly picked) and book it through the airline directly. Saves stress and hassle in my experience. After the last time I used eDreams, never booking through a third party again

      DO NOT book with Gotogate or MyTrip, they should be shut down from operating in Australia. They're generally okay if nothing changes with your flights or your personal situation, but if something does, you're screwed. Their customer support is non-existent and their refund policies and processing times are a disgrace. Took 11 months for them to refund two domestic airfares of mine after flight cancelations, minus their extortionate 'admin fees'. Believe everything you read on various review websites and stay well away from them.
