Superdry Beta Parka Jacket Reduced from $379.95 to $113.95, in Replica Blue and Green [Superdry Chatswood Westfield]

90

Saw this Superdry Beta Parka Jacket with original RRP of $379.95 now reduced to $113.95 in replica blue and green. Saw it at both the Chatswood Westfield Superdry Store and also the World Square Superdry store in Sydney. A pretty thick, and hence also heavy, jacket so is good for the current cold weather. Not sure when the sale will end. After Googling, show that it is the jacket came out in 2010, so looks like they are getting rid of it, probably for a new version.

replica blue? So not actually blue, but an imposter?

    • I think the military versions of these came in green and blue - so maybe that's what they're replicating?

i cant believe people are willing to pay those prices for a jacket that isnt even that nice imo

im talking about full price (for those twitchy neggers)

    • People pay full price for FCUK which uses the most crappy material I can think of

Superdry on the other hand is pretty nice at this price

You shouldnt say neggers, the correct term is Downvoting-Australian.

      • You spazz

        • not true, superdry jacket wind cheats and jackets are quite good quality although can't say much about the jeans which tend to tear in the same spot in less then a couple of months

  • Nice find OP. Just FYI for victorians, went to DFO cheltenham couple of days ago and they've got a store (cannot remember the name - but they sell SuperDry amongst many other brands) that has 70% off SuperDry. Got a female jacket that looks very similar to this jacket (limited sizes, sorry unable to see the OzB uploads from work)for AUD$98.

    Good luck.

Anyone want to guess where Superdry originated?

    • Guessing not Japan ?

    • +2

      United Kingdom?

      • That's right!
Cheltenham to be exact (in 1985)! However, first store only opened in Covent Garden in London in 2004.

That can be a good thing - England is very overcast, rainy and cold compared to Australia, so I guess they know what they are talking about!

          anyone for Foxtrot

  • You actually went to two different cities to compare prices? Just kidding :-D

    • Its how you get the 4th badge ;)

      • what is the badge about? i only noticed yesterday that i had two, but had no idea when and how and why i got these badges.

  • Looks alright and a pretty decent price for a thick jacket

  • This is obviously a fashion item, despite appearances, for people who buy brand names, because the construction of the jacket does not justify the price, even the severely discounted one.

The original rrp was $442 ha ha ha.

    • Not disputing that it is a fashion item, but what's wrong with the construction of the jacket?

      • It's 100% nylon with no wind or water proofing.

        • Really?

What a waste of time. I'll stick to my stupid kathmandu jacket then (Goretex shell)

It looks very similar to the Rivers one my father bought for $15. Probably came from the same Chinese factory in the same production run.

I'll invest that on something else which can also keep me warm and happy - PS3/G27 oh yea

  • Saw nancy boy wearing this same jacket at work. Now I know why he bought it.

  • So this is an unisex jacket?
