MSI Radeon RX 6800 GAMING X TRIO 16GB Graphics Card $819 + Delivery ($0 SYD C&C/ mVIP) @ Mwave

52

Not the all time lowest when you include shipping, but it is still quite a decent deal. Unfortunately, AMD didn't announce the ≤7800 XT models at their event yesterday so for now, those of us who were chasing those models might need to settle with the 6xxx series. If you don't need a GPU right away, you are probably best off to HODL for a bit longer but unfortunately, my old gpu is dying so I am out of that boat.

Not a deal when the 6900xt is up on amazon for $910 delivered

You would then also need a 850w psu which not everyone has

      • people forget to take that into account, its the same with a new CPU. Theres also the extra size

Lmao what a load crap. I ran one perfectly with zero issues with a rm750x. I plan on running a 7900 xtx with that power supply also lol

        • The wattage may have been wrong but the point still stands

      • +1

You say that like you cant reduce the power target?

        • Why spend more for a gpu just to power limit it.

          • @nk7: Reduced power target =/= reduced performance. Depends on how you go about it

            Can also undervolt.

It will still have more performance than a 6800 non XT.

@nk7: a decent 750 watt is all you need. Ive seen people running them with a 650w supply lol really depends on the quality of the psu. I wouldn't recommend less than 750w though, no need to power limit, undervolting would be better

            • @S1nn3r86: agree, i undervolt my 6800 to 920v, power consumption drop from 180w to 130w. gpu temp drop to 60 degree. I also clock down a bit to lets it run a bit cooler, losing 2-3 fps. But 140w (same clock speed) undervolt should perform as good as stock setting.

    • I did say this isn't the lowest all time price, plus that was back in September. Unless you have a time machine, that deal is expired.

      • +2

Just because a deal has expired doesn't mean that all time low never happened. Paying for this 6800 non-xt is a crime when there are 6800XT's for almost the same, heck even that 6900XT is a steal of the year at amazon for just $900.

    Too much, maybe $599

    • +3

I don’t think that price is fast approaching to be honest

    • i got one of the reference models in mint condition on the secondhand market for $500. kicking myself i didn't keep it, was so pretty

  • +1

That price is no good at all for a 6800. Ive seen 6800 xt's going for $799 which is a noticeably better card. The new cards just got announced so these will drop in price soon imo

ASRock Radeon RX 6800 Challenger Pro OC is $759 at mwave

Bought 6800 a months ago for around $699 and use it with 650w PSU (cooler master V2). i think it consume around 180w before undervolt. I undervolt mine to 920v (every gpu could be different even same brand and model), lose around 2-3 fps at 4k but only consume around 130w and around 60 degree when playing warzone. Great gpu but $819 is too expensive.

    • How do you get that undervolt. I'm struggling to get below 1030 on my 6800 xt

        I watched
        https://youtu.be/vnWFvKbyA4A (Undervolt + underclock)
        https://youtu.be/rU_31-Z6om4 (undervolt + overclock)
My setting somewhere between them. I used heaven benchmark for stress test, I underclocked 50 mhz and able to get stable at 920v (crashed once at 910v, increased to 920v all good until now), 6800xt might be a bit different.
I suggest you can start with lower your default max boost clock by 50mhz, set your min clock 100-200 lower than boost clock. Run stress test compared to default setting, check the fps, temp watt ect. You can over lock too if you want. Reduce 20-30v per test, repeat again if stable.
        This is 6800xt https://youtu.be/6oaYlLIbkG4
But still, every cards is different, even same brand and model.

        • thanks. ill give that a go.

  • Wonder how much the 6800xt would come down on Black Friday

  • Would be a deal if it was the XT. But regular 6800 at this price… no deal.
