They recently had Free machine with purchase of 200 pods, main issue is the nicer pods are like $1.20 each now.
As posted in past, sign up for the monthly subscription with 4th month free if you get a machine. for $150, you end up with $220 of credit. Then sign up your partner/dog, repeat.
so you end up paying $240 for the pods
either way u pay for the machine..?Yes well they sell those best sellers pack, its like $45 for 50 pods, but its a lot of those 80c single shot pods
A: The Nespresso VertuoLine capsule information. Our Espresso capsules contain 5.5 grams to 7 grams of ground coffee. The Gran Lungo capsules contain 9.5 grams of ground coffee.
'nicer pods' same quantity of coffee. maybe better form for brewing better coffee however most likely just to get exclusivity for product (i.e. cannot use alternative pods). 'regular' nespresso pods range from something like 40-80c each. So these new ones are about 1.5-3x more expensive.
However note that 7g is typical single shot BUT most cafes would be doing 17-22g and so that's at least 2-3x pods.
VertuoPlus has convenience factor but is very expensive in the long run. Easy to see why they're giving away machines provided they can get people buying the pods.
wow.. I thought they were bigger pods.
400ml espresso? Do you need a half kilo pod or what?
It's like swapping floppy disks
This brings back memories
Isn't it often better value to get this via a Nespreso subscription?
