Each gift card has different discount amount and a different coupon code (listed at the top of every gift card page). Not the best discounts for most stores but since Catch’s ongoing discount from Suncorp isn’t available, this is the best ongoing discount I guess.

Unfortunately I used the coles visa card to checkout failed, they say "Your 3D Secure code did not match", bad experience.😥
That would be due to the fact that prepaid gift cards (including Coles Mastercard gift cards) cannot support 3-D Secure.
3-D Secure is a security feature that can be used to check whether the verified cardholder is the person who is initiating the transaction. The merchant’s payment processor can ask the issuer for the card being used in the transaction for a one-time verification code sent to a mobile phone (or for two-factor authentication of some other methods).
The issue that prepaid gift cards have no verified cardholders, so a 3-D Secure check would never work. The workaround is to link a prepaid gift card to a PayPal account and then checkout using PayPal, but that obviously assumes that PayPal is an available payment method!
It sounds like Gift Card Exchange have recently opted to pay extra to their payment processor and enforce a 3-D Secure check for at least some of their gift card purchases.
@WookieMonster: can confirm a few days ago Coles prepaid master/visa payment still works. must be very recent change
@ggfatty: It could also be that a 3-D Secure check is only done for specific transactions based upon a risk assessment by the payment gateway.

Amazon gift cards just act as a credit in your account, so yes.
EBay gift cards if they're not sufficient balance then you use another payment method to finish paying, so yes.
