cheers good deal. smoke and fire variety is my go to.

    • what do you eat it with? i saw it contained chilli and it made it sound like it was good for cooking but not on toast?

      • haha by the spoonful, and toast! I love anything with chilli though so might not be for everyone.

How do these compare to the current (apparently Argentenian peanuts) Mayvers and the old Mayvers with the Aussie peanuts?

    • +1

Yeah, interested in any thoughts from anyone who's tried this brand.

Our go to peanut butters are Ridiculously Delicious peanut butter and Mayvers dark roasted. Interested if this brand is any good.

    With 16g/100g of carbs, it's hardly "keto-friendly."

    • +1

It's friendly to "keto" people I think.

    • How much are you eating at a time?

    • -1

At 4-5 grams net carbs per 100g, it's pretty good for peanut butter.

Good ,NZ seasalt we dont want that other seasalt we dont know were its from .lol.

For a half-Vulcan, you sure are salty.

  • Can confirm it is very good Peanut butter!

It tastes fine, but if you can I'd recommend buying Bega peanut butter as they use Australian peanuts and also make it here. There are obviously also a lot less carbon emissions involved if you buy things that are made here

    • +2

They just need to make it taste better and not be like glue, then I'll jump in
      Simply Nuts you mean right?
      Mayvers is cheaper

      • -1

Yes, simply nuts. It is a bit like glue, but add a bit of butter and it's ok!

        • +2

Have to buy Australian butter as well to eat it!!! Jeeez

        • +1

Recommending buying a local product to reduce carbon emissions but then recommending using a dairy product seems contradictory.

          • @GrownShrooms: I'd recommend also using a bakery product (e.g. toast)

            • -1

@PhilToinby: That is besides the point. I'm calling out your self-righteous hypocrisy and logical inconsistency.

        • +2

Yeah I reckon the Simply Nuts product is great. Not sure how it’s like glue. Ones I’ve had have a layer of natural peanut oil on top. Mix it in and don’t be like my kids and scoop only off the top and it’ll be good all the way.

          Aussie peanuts too.

The Ridiculously Delicious brand is very good, also Aussie peanuts. And small business. Only downsides are price and they have a fair bit more salt. If you don’t care about that, theirs taste better as a result.

  • I'll stick with my run of the mill Australian peanuts and Australian salt 👍

Bought the crunchy one Y'day will let you know how it compares to Mayvers.

Crunchy Peanut Paste is my go to with a nice spread of Honey on top, so this morning had the Crunchy Fix and Fogg and the Crunchy Mayvers on toast both tasted great with the regular spread of Honey on top. The Mayvers might have tasted a little more roasted but in all no real difference.
So now looks like we have another good option, I will be buying whichever of the two is the cheapest.

  • Love this brand. Everything butter is the best IMHO

  • This has the Collagen variety like Mayver's?

  • I got smooth version as crunchy peanut butter always leads to people taking larger servings.

I like the taste. Normally i don't like organic peanut butter.

  • I was a dark roasted mayvers fan but I’ve swapped to the everything peanut butter and everything almond butter. I love the crunchiness of the seeds in these! The peanut butter and jelly is also delicious. It has a freeze dried raspberry taste. The kids love it - “pink peanut butter” they call it.
