    For wired arcade joysticks, etc. If they require a real wired genuine controller for authentication purposes.

    It's why there aren't any cheap DS5 or XBSX controllers.

      Is it specific for a game or the hardware? I’m struggling to think of why hardware would need authenticating on a console.

  Sorry we do not have video of the actual units connected, but please check this timestamp video below, where you can see a hand controller that needs to be connected to the fight sticks. If the hand controller is not connected, the unit will stop functioning;

  Also any Arcooda Game Wizard arcade machine that supports XBOX360/One/PS4/PS5 needs either a dongle to be installed or you need to connect the console hand controller.
