First post lads, bought one myself with the usual warranty risk and possible Hifiman QC issues. Should be the lowest price according to previous posts. Use code 11SPROMOS31, credit to mrhugo. Make sure to add the store coupon as well.

Why tho?
Because the chances of getting genuine headphones is about the same.
A $500 pair of headphones from AliExpress…? What could possibly go wrong!
No different than punting $500 at the pokies. At least I might have a working headphone for a few months. 😂

You don't think they will deliver?

Let it be.
questionably worth it when they've been as low as $600 on amazon https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B09PH1N67T
Love my Edition XS.
Hifiman don't have the greatest rep with qc though, would probably pony up the extra to not deal with AliE returns. In saying that, this model doesn't have too many reported faults that I've seen.
I went through two sets before I got a working set. Also the design on the earcup jack is prone to interference if you have a shorter neck. Any lateral force on the 3.5mm cable and the earcup cuts out.
i bought a set from Amazon UK and returned it after a month due to one of the earcups cutting out everytime i turned my head. decided to go for a refund instead of a replacement as i want something better quality.
such a shame though, cause the sound produced from these headphones was the best i have heard.
Sanreya Original HIFIMAN.
You either get a ?Sanreya? or a HIFIMAN, with wording like this, you can only blame yourself if its not HIFIMAN
HiRisk is my middle name.
HiWisk
Well it's alot cheaper in China when you buy direct from hifiman. Also they have good reviews. The sanreya is just the store name.
Is there a cheaper way? Also should I pay with USD or AUD?
get AliEx to do the AU$ conversion.
it should be cheaper, than paying US$
(and then your Credit Card / PayPal doing the conversion)I was looking at the last time they did the deal and the op said to do USD. Idk
Always pay in USD through your card that doesn't have any foreign transaction fees via paypal
I have seen some people reporting these arriving with dead drivers and others having them die after a few months. Definitely not in alarming numbers however but I really wouldn't risk it personally, I do plan to get these in the future but not from Ali
I bought from AliExpress for about ~$550ish after cashback before Amazon started having deals. Given the price difference with Amazon, I'd probably wait for an Amazon deal for the extra piece of mind.
Amazon will have their Cyber Monday tech deals in a few weeks
Will they have a sale on this? I don't think so.
…and even if they do, the AU$ might slide even lower !
The most original and certain value deal. This headphone will be sure to not disappoint.
It will for most people due to the unconventional design (weight, size and poor quality headband). Then comes the dodgy QC and build quality. Mine has gone back to China twice (also bought from Aliexpress but different seller)….$130 in postage costs back and forth, 7 months now. Pay the $700 and buy local.
I was trying to cosplay a Chinese website description. Would never buy expensive items on Aliexpress.
you've wasted 2 of my 5 daily downvotes :(
I've landed some unicorn deals on 11.11 Ali sales in past years, you might get lucky.
My Ali buying tips:
I'm more inclined to trust a store if it's an official brand i.e. if you type a known brand like in "Anker" in the search bar it'll bring up "Anker Official Store."
Sellers who consistently get bad feedback will simply close their store and open a new one. Therefore long established stores with large numbers of followers are more trustworthy. If you hover your mouse over the store name up top it tells you when the shop opened, i.e. "Sanreya Online Store" has been open since Oct 25, 2021.
This applies anywhere, really
Do you trust the store?
Probably not. I don't know enough about these products. Personally I wouldn't buy anything over $100-200 from Ali in general
Yeah thanks for the comment
I don't understand. You are willing to order a $500+ item from AliExpress and wait over a month for this to ship to you to save ~$150 instead of saving/earning an extra $150 so you can buy in Australia and have it instantly or the next day?
You do you but I would never.
Don’t forget about warranty and consumer law protection.

I prefer these lol
For some reason, I imagine you wearing $50 headphones.
Actually I have beyerdynamic dt 770 pro but yes those would do me lol
Are these twice as good as the HD6xx's I bought at the start of the year for half the price?
I have both… I use the XSs over the 6XXs.
Are the 6XXs twice as good as K371s or HD598s?
Appreciate initiating the model keyword comparison here
Now about the other Sennheiser and AKG model numbers in the lead up to half to full to double quality $-proportions …

I went from HD598 to HD6XX to the Hifiman XS. The XS felt like a much bigger upgrade.
In terms of opens, i'd recommend the 6XX or XS depending on budget. There's also the 560S, Sundara which I considered or saw recommended.
For closed, my main use would be with Bluetooth where convenience is more of a factor - I have Surface Headphones and the Momentum 3. I use the M3 with HEST which I am happy with for when I am using them.
I also have DCA Aeon Closed and K371s. I would tend to agree that the K371 is a decent purchase for what it is. I do really like the DCAs and have been using them recently when I need isolation.
Depending on what you're buying, you may need a DAC/AMP to properly drive the headphones.
If you're researching headphones, on Ozbargain, I would generally agree with @jasswolf. Here's a deal they posted tonight: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/734887
Yes. Twice as good at breaking down from what I've read. Bought it anyway.
You can't really say a headphone is x times better, too many variables and you can't linearly measure preference.
Think of it as chocolate, you can get the most revered exotic dark chocolate out there and still prefer the sugary taste of Cadbury.
Hd6xx's are dark, these aren't. Maybe you'll find the more balanced tuning of these "better" but if you like to chill when listening then maybe not.
Please post if anyone has ordered. I want to know if you get it.
Here's hoping the post/threads are not locked by the time we confirm delivery/undelivery
Yeah
Just to ease your mind, these are my tracking updates and I will let people know if I get a HiFoMON or a HiFiMAN :

Export Customs ClearedI've bought plenty from Ali without issues, there was one order where they refunded me straight away due to fake/falsely advertised.
So have you received it?
I just received them a moment ago and can confirm they're the real deal. They sound absolutely beautiful just now driving them SE on a Sonata E44. Just waiting for a 4.4mm balanced cable and a new desktop amp coming in the mail. I was worried about the fit but they sit fine on the default/out of the box headband setting. So far no QC issues after testing.
Might as well buy from wish
