About couple of years before first I saw this at Homeart at our local shopping centre for $99.Till date I can't find cheaper at any store less than $49.95.If you find please prove me wrong.

Would not reheat in these, only for keeping hot food hot, not heating.
Absolutely - but that is the go for any sort of bain-marie set-up. The food needs to be heated quickly and then kept hot in the serving unit. Calling it a food heating tray is probably not a great idea.
