I find Ant Rid only fed the ants in my house, got a bottle and a half left over. Not really worth it. Talon worked like magic.

always worked fine for me, they take it back to base, it kills em

it change formula, use to be sticky sap attracts ant from far and wide, now it just like water and ants just walks around it so no interest.

Ant rid attracts a lot of ants so do not be alarmed when using it.
But 24 hours they'll all be gone and dead.

You'll notice a huge spike in activity at first, and need to be patient and wait 24hrs before they're gone.

Do not use alongside a spray. This attracts them and poisons them..

    Definitely works.

Borax mixed with something sweet, youtube has several recipes.

    • This pretty much is borax.

Some ants are attracted to protein and not to sugar, so add some ham crumbles as well.

      • +1

This will kill some wildlife and pets as well though.

        • You will probably use less than 1g of borax, which is toxic to dogs after 2-3g/kg. Unless you have a serious ant infestation or an ant-sized pet they should be fine.

      1/2 cup of sugar
      2 soup spoons Borax
      1 1/2 cups warm water
mix & store in a jar (moccona is good)

Soak Cotton balls or paper towel balls in jar, pick them out when you need to use.

Put some of the soaked cotton balls in a empty (but not washed) milk bottle outside where the ants are. Pets can't get to them, but the ants can.

The closer you get to their nest the better (you can usually see them disappearing into a tree/crack in pavement/wall/gutter). Even pour a little bit in their hidey hole.

I replace the cotton ball daily for 3-4 days. Then they disappear.

  • Yeah Antrid doesnt work for the ants at home. works for some ants, and not others.

  • +1

yeah use above borax and sugar or your soft drink

  • I find it doesn't work like it use to, definitely changed the formula, looks more watery now, lucky to attract 5 ants

Talon Insect Control Ant Kill Gel is the stuff you want, not ant-rid.

  • +1 for Talon Gel

  • Only fed my ants. Then imported Amdro but the bush turkeys ate it, shat everywhere and haven't seen them since. Well try Talon this time.
