      • I just changed from telstra to boost. can i get this deal? it'll be my 2nd recharge…

      • Is boost restarting roaming yet?

  • +2

What a deal!!! Pay with the recent Coles discounted Mastercard Gift card for even better savings! Thanks OP!!!

  • When does this deal end ?

    • +1

It's up the top "1 Nov 6 days left"

  • +2

The plan says for new customers only. I bought a 30 day sim about a month ago, does that make me ineligible for this?

    • Yes you can, but cannot be used as a recharge.

      • @boostmobileau Can you explain what this means please? I am currently on $20 per month with auto recharge. Are you saying I can do this deal even though I am an existing customer?

        • @boostmobileau Please can you advise if and how I can get this deal as an existing customer.

    • Just get a 365d Sim, most people ask support to apply the new one to same number.. pain if you have to port out to a $2 Sim then back again to the new Boost Sim.

They should try to keep customers are the Sims and network are pretty good for the price.

      • @G-rig Thanks for this. Are you saying that support should / will arrange a number port for you as an existing customer? And if not then the best option is to port out to another provider's cheap sim and then back into Boost as a new customer? Any recommendations for cheapest / quickest sim to port to?

        • Just jump on the chat and see if they can port it for you onto the new card. Many others (myself included) have done this in the past, so no need for another sim - see how you go and finger's crossed.

          • @G-rig: @G-rig Thanks mate. Appreciated. So just to confirm - I buy the deal first - and then see if they can port it. But what happens if they won't port it? Have I then wasted my money (unless I agree to use a new number)?

            • @belbo: Just try that first, if they won't then look at a $2 or sim to change to first I guess.
They really didn't mind doing it last time (and then have a customer for another year)

              • @G-rig: @G-rig Thanks mate. Looks like a pretty safe bet then. So we can do the deal multiple times? If so, I think I'll do for my wife and my 2 older kids too. PS I'm guessing if cash back doesn't track for whatever reasons then you're stuck with it and can't cancel (?).

                • @belbo: Others could comment but maybe try one first. Last time just got mine from officeworks.

I want to activate my new sims from last month

    But keep fail..
    They said like that
    Something went wrong

We’re unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later.

    What can I do??

    • H! Please reach out to our support team for assistance. You can chat through http://bst.st/lc or call us at 125 8881

  • Just activated a 27 days ago… any luck I could use this?

  • when will this deal expire? my current plan still has several days.

  • Sent my brother a referral link for CR as he was looking for a new phone plan, failed to track the referral. The screwing about to try & fix it made him abandon the whole attempt.

I really wonder why I bother with cashrewards sometimes.

    • Now I cant even order one for myself to just give him as boost is giving the unable to process order.

      Screw it, going with amaysim.

  • Cannot checkout, tried 6 times. No issues with my account or cash. Frustrating.

  • Has anyone actually got any cashback confirmed by cashrewards? I bought a boost sim about a month back and that purchase has still not been tracked. I can see my click to the boost website being tracked on cashrewards but weirdly the purchase was not. Cashrewards supports is just hopeless and just give you a generic reply that it would take 90 days for them to investigate the purchase. Based on my personal experience I would not recommend buying boost sim based on the hope that you would get cashback as there is absolutely no guarantee that it would happen.

Same here. Recently bought the $30 sim for $9. Never tracked.

They've added it, but sometimes I wonder how much worthy of my time it is to remember in 90 days if it tracks or not, for a princely sum of $12.

    • I have had a couple of older boost sims approve. Latest approved Sim was purchased August 22nd. Approved October 12th. I used it as soon as it arrived.

    • My purchase didn't track. Reading some of the comments further down, other people received tracking confirmation immediately. CR rarely works for me. I tend to use Shopback given the choice. It's a shame Shopback didn't have this offer.

dropped my boost sim for amaysim…it sux where I live.

time to port back to Boost.
    ..

  • Will just using this via chat as a recharge still get you the cash back?

  • Not back in the country until the 9th of November… not sure how I can accept the delivery if it has to be under my own name.

    • +1

They are sent via tracked mail but in my experience just delivered as a regular letter. Postie scans them as he/she drops them in your letterbox, and if you've turned on tracking, you get a notification in the AusPost app. You should be good. Pull the trigger. Worst case, it will be sitting at the post office waiting for you.

  • +1

I got tracking from Cashrewards within 20 seconds this morning at about 5am.

  • Can someone tell what good about boost mobile since woolworth mobile is sellimg similar thing for $140?

    • +2

Full Telstra Retail Network (not wholesale). Make a difference in some (more remote) areas. If you're just in the CBD, you may not care.

Also, it is possible that their 5G trial may turn out to be 5G for everyone forever, but who knows?

  • +1

These are great, on my second one.
The free 5G upgrade was nice of Boost.
Hopefully there are some deals around mid-late Dec, got a few months left now.
Seems like they've gone up in price - the last one i got price-beat at Office works for $148 ($200 prepaid sim).

    • What speed can you get with 5g? Would those data be enough for 5g?

      • +1

Not sure and varies dependent on area, speed Fast in City test so wouldn't worry. 36 to +100

  • I have 2 sims each on a $300 prepaid 12 month plan with Telstra. The plans expire in 40 days. Want to move to Boost but a bit confused on the process. Do I need to port to Optus/Vodaphone provider and then port to Boost/Telstra or do I just buy the sim cards and go through the porting/activation process with Boost. Any help would be appreciated for a golden oldie. Thanks.

    • +1

No interim port required. Pull the trigger. Just remember to do each one as a completely separate transaction - ideally in a completely new browser session to make sure each cashback is tracked.

  • Sorry, further question. Dealing with Telstra. Where do I find the name details against each of the phones that I need to quote exactly to have my sim cards ported to Boost and retain the same numbers?. I have logged into my account with Telstra but am having difficulty trying to work out the name associated with each mobile under my account. They are not listed. Can not find any name against the Telstra account

    • +1

      Are you Jason Bourne?

  • Anyone know how long it takes for them to send the sim out?

    • I ordered Wednesday evening and yet to receive dispatch.

    • Yeah, anyone got a dispatch or what? Nothing since Wed too…

    • I order Thursday..was actually hoping to get it next week…doesn’t look promising atm

    • My current plan runs out early next week. I was assuming I'd have my boost sim by then but it's not looking promising.

      • Just had a chat with Boost rep on their website and says it was dispatched, but via registered post…

        • I messaged them earlier today because I didn't receive an email about when it will be posted (even though in the order confirmation email they said they will) - anyway, the guy sent me the tracking number in the chat box and I received it registered post today

  • Why does boost mobile need Australian Passport / Licence for purchasing the sim?

    • Terrorists love to remotely detonate their bombs using Boost Mobile. It’s the most reliable network in Australia with the broadest coverage. Couldn’t get a better endorsement, really

    • I thought document verification was required for all telcos now?

      • For document verification, they give option for international passports

  • I bought a $2 sim before, could I still use this deal when I activate the $2 sim?

  • Boost still have 5g?

    • Yeah they haven't seemed to have downgraded to 4g again yet, hopefully leave it as 5g.

Great news, we've added 5G access to all Prepaid plans & recharges at Boost until 26 September 2022. This includes 04xxxxxxxx at no extra cost.

    • I chatted with Boost and they said the current 'trial' of 5G was Sep to end of Nov. They launch their proper 5G in Jan or Feb 2023…. so I asked if that means Dec will be back to 4G and they said yes.

      • Doesn't matter too much they are cheap enough sims.. but you think they'd just leave it.

Will need a new SIM end of Jan so hopefully 5g available then

  • Cashrewards tracked straightaway for me.

  • is anyone having problems paying? Keeps coming up with "Sorry, something went wrong".

    • Yep, tried on 3 different devices, 2 different cards, waited days between attempts, tried with different people. I have no clue what I can do differently at this stage.

  • bought 2 to recharge 2 sims…hoping to have an easy time recharging our existing plans with boost support.

the cashback makes this a sweet ass deal! perfect deal for the folks…working out at around $10/mo is brilliant.

i did 2 separate transactions by the way and got the cashback appear as rewards straight away for both.

My SIM arrived yesterday and I had no problems transferring my existing boost service (which had expired the day before) on to the new SIM through their online chat. I even got the bonus 10GB data.
Unfortunately my Cashrewards didn't track though…
I rarely use Cashrewards as tracking is so unreliable in my experience. I never seem to have any issues with Shopback though.

    • When you purchased the sim did you use your current phone number (the Boost number)? I'm not sure why I can't make payment. Suspect that the system knows I'm an existing boost customer and not letting payment through?

    • Great info & you sold me, similar probs with cashrewards, has been a while but was once rejected to use new pre paid to transfer to existing, fingers crossed when my sim expires soon

  • Thank you OP! Bought one. I am a light user, happy to sacrifice 8 days and 92GB rollover balance. Sold by the international roaming benefits (new to me) will try it when overseas in 2 months time.

  • Came in handy. Was planning to switch the missus from the dodgy Coles PP to this.

Can existing prepaid boost plans utilize this deal or is it for new users only

  • My Cashrewards notifier (in Chrome) is not showing the "activated' status. My ad blocker is switched off. Every time I activate, it does not show the activated icon and has the "activate" option available. Don't think I've ever seen this behavior before. Any suggestions? Only an hour left to get the cash back …

    • @boostmobileau Any ideas on my issue with the Chrome notifier not showing the deal as activated?

      • Seems sorted. Clearing site cache with F5 and closing and reopening Chrome didn't work - but restarting my computer seems to have fixed it. May restart between each of my 4 purchases - just to be safe.

  • Have bought 2 so far with cashback tracking straightaway. Purchase confirmation page doesn't show in Chrome. Not sure what is going on - but am receiving emails. Problematic if it didn't track and I would have to send screenshots.

    • I just bought one and it said "something went wrong" after I purchased. I also received confirmation email however cashback is not tracking…

      • +2

Just did my 3rd one and cash back tracked after about a minute. This time I got the purchase confirmation screen. Seems a bit glitchy. Maybe try clearing your cache and restarting your computer.

        • Great. All 4 tracked. Winner! Thanks OP.

  • Just got in before deadline, awesome deal. thanks!

  • Is it confirmed that using it to recharge will still get you the cashback?
