Hi

Maybe it’s common knowledge but I personally just found out that you can stream the World Cup matches on the 9Now app.
The India vs Pakistan game starts at 18:30.

    Lol, just why:)

  • +1

Excellent find all pirate stream will be lossing money now

    • Yes but this one would be with ads. Pirate streams would be ad free

      • +2

Why would they be ad free? They're just streaming Foxtel/9/whatever provider who all have ads anyway

        • +3

Most pirated streams take it from fox cricket/willow TV which are usually ad free between overs

          • @starbearer: You're right! Sorry, I used to get UK streams a lot that are loaded with ads, but watching the T20 now it isn't through the overs.

Innings break are full of ads for memory on foxtel, but at least ads are more interesting than the commentators trying to fill the time.

Edit: I spoke too soon, currently being hammered by ads from a foxtel stream during a drinks break. 2 minutes straight of them.

  • +1

If you're a Telstra customer you can watch entire world cup free on Foxtel now (free for one month). Not sure if this works for prepaid accounts though.

I think we need a separate post for every slot on FTA Television plus all the live FTA streams just in case someone wasn't aware

    • +3

Ozbargain pivots into community tv guide

  • +4

Just in case, anyone is interested, there are some other matches (besides all the Aussie ones) which are also available on 9 network.

Summer is coming, so is the real cricket:)

  • Thanks, I didn't know this until now. I have signed up on Kayo Sports for the T20 World Cup! Good to know

  • +7

Goddamn Kayo's hyper-marketing has resulted in people assuming that the matches are only on their network. Channel 9 and Gem HD are carrying them free of cost, and also streaming them. Just watch them on your FTA terrestrial and streaming options.

    • Damn I should've done some research, wasted $25 dollars for months worth of Kayo subscription yesterday.

      • Same. Although it is kinda nice that you get full replays to watch after.

    • +1

Free to air has actually done an even better job than Kayo for tennis, with probably better grand slam coverage.

Also Kayo coverage of cricket in last couple of months was not that great. Couldn't believe it but they skipped the entire Asia Cup.

      • You need spell check!

    • پاکستان زندہ باد

  • Oooh thank you, thought I had to steal someone else's Kayo temporarily…

  • On 9gem aswell i think

  • If I have kayo , which one will have better quality coverage? 9hd or kayo for today's match

    • +1

9 if you love ads, Kayo if you don't.

      • Match runs without stream trouble thats more than enough to watch it 🤣

  • Q: Who is stronger? India or Pakistan? 😀

  • -1

    WHAT ABOUT SOCCER?!?

    • +8

Are they playing soccer matches in the cricket T20 World cup?

    • -2

      and its FOOTBALL not SOCCER.

  • +2

Hi, this is my first time posting a deal on Ozbargain.
The people reporting my post, can you please me on where I stuffed up or how can I fix it ?

    • +3

I didn't report it personally, but i guess you're just marketing the app. There's not an actual bargain here (unless it is usually a paid app but is now discounted/free). This stuff is generally best placed in forums.

      • There's not an actual bargain here (unless it is usually a paid app but is now discounted/free)

        Yeah, that’s a good point.
I didn’t think about the technicality of what it takes for a post to be classed as a ‘deal’ vs a ‘forum’ topic.

    • +3

Some OzB purists probably reported it cause it's more of a forum post rather than an actual "bargain".

But thanks for the heads up OP!

  • I'd only watch this match if they had The Rock do a promo for it

    • well well well as luck would have it black adam loves cricket

      • I believe he prefers to just be called Adam

  • +2

I'm glad people have found the announcement helpful but that doesn't make it a bargain. Forums all day

    • So you mean Forums > General Discussion > +New Topic ?

      • +2

That's my view, but mods will decide and people seem to be upvoting. I'd just leave it

    • -1

      Bruhhh

For How long are we going to keep using this kind of casual racism.

      Get a life, loser

Oz bargain should be doing their bit.

This had been going for years.

      • +4

I am half Indian and have tons of Indian/Pakistani friends that drive Uber. We make these exact same jokes about each other all the time (as grown men do)… we also make similar jokes about non Indians/non-Pakistanis etc
If anything, I am more offended by your snowflakey nature and how you think you need to be some white knight for the rest of us.

        casual racism

Just FYI son, Rasicm is about the Intent and not the content.
I hope you can learn something from that.

        • +6

Love this. Good on ya mate for being a good sport. World is too woke

        • +2

You are entitled to your opinion

But I still feel it is about Time it is called out for what it is. The same shit for years, gets old

If you want to take crap to blend in, you have every right.

            • +7

@Gervais fanboy: I am Indian myself. Lived here for 20+years .

I have been at the receiving end of this so called banter for a long time. There comes a time when enough is enough

              • @ozpaisa:

I am Indian myself. Lived here for 20+years .

Well, I completely got that bit wrong. I didn’t know that Indians get this soft over time..

I have been at the receiving end of this so called banter for a long time. There comes a time when enough is enough

That’s their culture. Traditionally they are masculine like that and love ribbing on each other. They do it to everybody and you are welcome to do it back to them and they would take it too…
Very similar to the Punjabi culture, where we do the same to each other.

But unlike most Indians that talk about Kaale (Blacks), Chinke (Orientals) in the way we Indians do. The average Aussie bloke doesn’t make the comments that we lot internally do.
So just know, that having some minor biases is a part of the human DNA and we can never fully eradicate it. It’s linked to our survival instincts.

You Still don’t get it ?
Well, there is a reason why you or your Dad came to this great country, like 100’s of thousands others. And how you chose to stay here despite you being on the ‘receiving end’.
How this pattern of immigration only works in one direction…

Stop with the victim mindset, get out there and make some bloody friends.

            • -2

@Gervais fanboy: Just for my understanding, what does this “rainbow-hair crowd” refer to? Genuine question.

        • +1

agree mate. So funny how white people get triggered more than the actual people copping the racism lmao.

    • In that case, all of Australia's banking should stop as well.

  • Do they show all the matches in this tournament or only selected ones?

  • Yeah nah

  • +1

Thanks mate. I was using Disney Hotstar for first few overs.

    • How do you get that??

      • Indian VPN server + Indian Mobile Number
Use VPN and subscribe. I subscribed few months back with VPN Unlimited but now they don’t have Indian server. I use Hola VPN to watch it. No 4k streaming on FireTV Max but that free VPN is good for FHD content. I used AU card for payment when subscribed to Hotstar. There’s alot of content to watch. So many shows apart from Disney+ like GOT, HOTD many many more. Free sports stream and Indian TV shows “saas bahu” type. And that time i guess it was like 20-30$/year for 4k plan. If you have good VPN then maybe you can use it. Sideload Hotstar app on TV or whatever device you use. Google for more info. Cheers

  • Thx

  • Thanks OP! Was going to stream

  • +2

Game getting very exciting now! Down to last over

  • +10

Thanks OP for posting this. I ended up working while watching it. One of the very best T20 matches I've ever seen. The last two overs were crazy.

    • +2

Indeed awesome match. I would not have watched anything this for a long time.

  • +7

    Unbelievable finish!

  • +3

Thank you. What a match it was 🙏

  • +3

    Great match

  • +2

Thanks! Looks like umpire also played for india.🤔

    • +3

If you let the ball go through it would have been above waist.

      • -1

Incorrect. The rule is that if you step forward then it is not a no-ball. Plus, the ball was dipping anyways, so it would've been under the waist.

    • +1

Yup i have to concur. Pakistan got lucky with runout but noball was harsher call

  • +3

Thanks OP. Thinking of Kayo subscription but will watch t20 on 9now … bargain it is.

  • +5

Thanks op for heads up, wouldn't have watch it and it was one of the best cricket matches I ever seen and I dont follow cricket.

  • -8

    Pakistan always father, yes

  • -3

Huh? Read and reread the post the normal way, opposite way, sideways, upside down (standing on head) but…. Where's the bargain? Can't seem to find it. Someone please point me to it? 🤔

    • +1

Bargain is watching it for free on 9now vs paying for Kayo…

      • 9now

You mean this wasn't available in free-to-air Channel 9 (like it always been for the last hundred years)? Sorry but it is a legit question. I have stopped watching free-to-air TV for a long time now and have no idea what is being shown on all mainstream channels nowadays.

  • +8

    KING KOHLI!!

  • Anyone knows if I can watch other matches for free that are not being streamed by channel 9. I have used kayo free subscription already.
