Saw this on Amazon looking for a cheapish RFID wallet.

Reviews seem decent, but am not a fan of having the zipper. And depending on where you live, you can get it delivered the same day (min spend of $49 of 'qualifying items')

All-time low according to camels

FYI Black (Black Crosshatch is $60)

$28 for a pouch with a zip! Is that a bargain? Have a look at Vulkit or Ekster (good quality) pop up wallets. More expensive, but really good if you mostly have cards.

I had the Ekster Parliament. Great quality and lasted 5 years. Just a design flaw that means it doesn't fold flat with too much stuff in the flap. Now trying the Vulkit in the 2nd link as it has two pop ups for more cards. Chunky thing though. Not as good quality as Ekster, but heaps cheaper.

Ekster reckon they're having a 20% off sale, but they seem the same price they were. Maybe a pre-price increase sale.

These are really quick and easy to pop up your cards and select the one you want.

(very high price currently. They have been $70-80 recently)

Or there are the ones where you pull a tab and the cards pop up. Might be a bit thinner than the ones above.

    • You are comparing 2 different types of markets mate. Also the ones you linked bulky as hell and i'm still not sold on that mechanism. I've tried it myself before and lasted 6 months before going back to the Herschel Charlie. I have the Bellroy Card Wallet as my daily now which is arguably more basic than this listing. In fact i have both the Fabric & Leather options, and i still use the Fabric which i use on occasion which has aged absolutely fantastic.

      • The ones you mentioned are just pouches (with variations). I really like the popup mechanism to quickly and easily get a card out, but I agree the ones I linked to are on the bigger side (particularly that Vulkit). If you can manage with just a few cards there's lots of slim, light options. I need lots of cards and wanted pop up, so went for that Vulkit.

My Ekster lasted 5 years before it broke, but they're pretty expensive. I don't like the chances of the Vulkit lasting that long, but they are cheaper. Ideally we would be able to go card and cashless (the latter is possible now) and just use the phone.

        • The Herschel Charlie is a Compact Card Holder & Bellroy Card Holder is actually a business card holder which i use as a wallet because it holds a tonne without being too thick…neither of which are pouches. They have a Card Pocket which is more 'pouchy'.

I was always interested in the pop-up ones but the one i got to play with seemed like it would age very badly because its essentially foam holding the cards in and a latch to slide them out so im surprised you got 5yrs out of yours…perhaps you werent silly (like me) and constantly pulled the lever every second when you got bored lol.

I've been using one of these for about 2 years, has held up really well and still looks close to new

Sure, but your pencils and coins will forever be RFID safe

How tf they charging $66 for the other colour. Even $28 isn't worth it.

Looks more like a purse, lol

        It's European!!

Just use your phone/watch for payments and then you don't need to worry about your cards

    • but then you need to put your phone into an RFID protected case… right ;)

      • Why?

          He’s joking

    • Good argument for doing that. Always will need some cards, so a phone case that can fit a few perhaps? (drivers licence for example)

In Australia, this sort of level of sophistication isn't required. We get our accounts hacked because there aren't any cyber security policies put in place by companies, and these companies are running outdated software from 30 years ago.

    • So no need to buy this purse? Gotcha.

  • What are people wanting coins for now?
