[VIC] Free Tickets to All Melbourne Victory Home Games @ Ticketek

1260

FREE tickets to all Melbourne Victory home games this season in the South End.
Edit: Only Central Coast and Brisbane Roar game left.

  1. Click Go to Deal. Don't worry that it says 'page expired'.
  2. Click on the huge ass Ticketek logo (top-left corner) and search 'Melbourne Victory'.
  3. Click on 'Find Tickets' and select any match of your choice.
  4. Redeem up to 2 tickets. Doesn't matter what seat number as people in those 2 bays don't care who sits where, or if you're in their seat.

OR

  1. Click Go to Deal.
  2. Click this link.
  3. Click on 'Find Tickets' and select any match of your choice.
  4. Redeem up to 2 tickets. Doesn't matter what seat number as people in those 2 bays don't care who sits where, or if you're in their seat.

Pls only redeem these if you intend on going, just so nobody genuinenly misses out if they can't afford to go every week because of financial pressures. More people at game = better atmosphere.

Also most of these games (besides Sydney FC) won't sell out, so I don't suggest you get these tickets just to sell them on. Not worth it.

    Worked, thanks OP.

Glad it did, king! Up the VUCK!

  • +11

Just for those not familiar, the South end is an Active support area i.e. most people will be standing to support the team

    • +1

      Good point!

Also in practice the side bay (16) has a lot of people sitting and it's not as active as the Northern Terrace is, for those not familiar :)

      • +3

Yes that’s right and as long as it’s not too close to the Western Syndey away supporters it should be all good too haha

    • I assume NSFK (not safe for kids)?? Last time I went to an A League game, there was a lot of swearing

      • -1

People swear at every sport, but if you don't wanna hear any swearing then I wouldn't recommend claiming these 😊

  • Worked, got some thanks!

  • +2

Wow what a find. I wish I lived in Melbourne for this

    • +1

Surely a cheeky trip down for the Sydney game? 😉

    • +1

Book a seat and see if you can find a cheap airticket. You can fly down for the day.

  • Thanks op 😘

    • +12

Well the Melbourne Derby tonight is completely sold out and the only reason these are free is because it's a member-only area of active support (opposite end to the Northern Terrace) which the club's trying to revive…Also the on-the-field quality is the best it's ever been, but it'll improve further when people get out there and support their local clubs.

But can't win I guess, even when they try to do something good, you still get people leaving snarky comments like that 🤷

      • +4

Just got back from the derby and it wasn’t even close to sold out

        • It was, there were literally no tickets remaining for the general public on Ticketek. The empty seats were due to not all members showing up and perhaps the club leaving some spares for any walk-up memberships.

Wish every seat was full though.

@BigBoy-5000: Could have been a few that couldn't attend due to recent water issues in Victoria

            • +2

@kevinroast: Maybe it was due to the fact that City were flooding forward so often?

        • +6

Easy, because going to the game beats watching a team you have no real connection to on TV. Always. And who's to say that your team will never get relegated to the Championship, League One or even League Two? You wouldn't stop watching them then, would you?

Also comparing any league besides the big 2 to the Premier League is simply unfair. Prem and La Liga are the two best leagues in the world by some margin. They're an outlier, not representative of the average quality of football around the world. There are 200 countries in the world and the A-League would be nowhere near the bottom ones.

          • -1

@BigBoy-5000: I have to ask have you watched any games of premier league because you seem pretty defensive of the a league you have to understand sport is most importantly about entertainment how can you expect people to get behind the a league when they fail themselves to entertain, they don't ever play short passes enough they rather kick it up field to empty space thats my one fault with it another fault is how keepers think they can come so far off their line when the teams attacking if Australians actually knew how to shoot outside box it wouldn't happen but they don't all these things should be taught in junior football programs and these professionals should build a better work ethic and study the game. i will watch Australia in wc and i will continue to watch only prem because thats where i don't feel like im wasting my time.

            • @froogletom: I watch the Prem all the time mate, just struggle to connect with a club in a meaningful way, but support Everton. It's not the same as going to a game. I watch other lesser leagues around Europe too time-to-time and the A-L is really not bad in comparison, despite some of the flaws mentioned.

Would you support your club if they did a Sunderland and went down to League One? Because the standard would be nowhere near the Prem… In fact I know a fair few English people who say it's worse than the A-League and I can't name a single League One player who stood out in the A-L.

            • +2

@froogletom: Ahh, so you're a fair weather plastic 'fan'

              • @Boogerman: call me whatever you want I have a team that i support to my heart content even though their shit and its not in the a league, aleague is just unbearable to watch they can't shoot or pass to save their lifes, keeper always rush out and all they want to do is kick the ball upfield rather the doing simple build up play

        • +4

"how can anyone watch the a- league after watching the prem"
If you have that view, how can you watch the EPL after watching the Champions League or the World Cup?
I love watching soccer (and footy), including junior, local and women's matches.
Just because my AFL team isn't as good as Geelong, I'll still watch them play.

          • @davebern: going from epl to champions league, to world is all quality its not a massive step to take its all quality and it can't be compared to going from epl to aleague, and i could watch local and junior footy to if it was my family member or friend playing and i would teach them on ways to improve. also they wouldn't be the ones calling themselves professionals so its a little easier to understand why the quality poor

    • +1

If the same amount of money was spent on Australian Soccer as it was on Australian Rules you might see an improvement

      • -1

probably but why are these Australian clubs rejecting people that are now playing in Italy have you heard Cristian Volpato rejected our national team and I don't blame him because we failed to give him a chance for local football

        • A lot of quality players fall through the cracks, everywhere. Yes, the Australian youth system is flawed, but if Volpato is that petty to turn down Australia because of that, then he never loved the country in the first place.

So good luck and all the best to him, but not arsed which way his career goes from this point on to be honest.

It is nice it is free, you can use the money you save for medical treatment after you get a flare/firework to the face.

    • +6

They're South End tickets, not North End.

    • After last nights efforts you aren't wrong

    • +11

If you don’t know what sport ‘Melbourne Victory’ play then just don’t worry about it mate.

  • +6

Thank you OP… really appreciate this!
We used to go to Victory games once a season as part of the miniroos giveaway, but haven’t been post-covid.
Will be taking the eldest miniroo as part of his birthday. :)

    • +3

Good stuff mate, hope you get to enjoy some games like in the pre-COVID times!

      • +1

Thanks again @BigBoy-5000… my boy really enjoyed the night out, especially after he spent 4 days in hospital this week. Really made his day after a really tough week.
Wished I picked up a few more tickets for next year but we are very grateful for your post and that we got to go today. :)

        • +1

Glad to hear you both enjoyed it mate. All the best in his recovery and if I hear of any discounted or even free tickets, I'll post them on here :)

  • Got 3 tickets separately

    • No probs there, you'll be able to sit together in reality anyway and move around anh of these two bays :))

  • Bring your own seat?

  • +3

I think Victory must be facing financial problems.

They were so poor that 2 of their players last night couldn't afford second names. :)

    Go City!

  • +1

This is great. I only have a 3 game membership, this will help fill in the gaps :D

    • Hope we lift our performances too ;)

  • Appears all seating of 2 are gone, only single seating left

    • You can sit wherever anyway, since it's an active-ish area, nobody cares where you sit. You can do two seperate transactions also :)

  • Only single tickets for 19 Mar and 29 April left.

    • You can sit wherever anyway, since it's an active-ish area, nobody cares where you sit, so can do two seperate transactions go get two tickets.

  • as long term Victory member, this is good.

And South End has been crap lately. I mean poor active support. North End where its at.

    • Yeah mate, I hope the South End comes back to the glory days again!

  • +1

Disappointed to see this late but still secured tickets for the Mariners (19 Mar) and Brisbane game (29 April).

If anyone has tickets to any of the other matches and cannot attend please PM me! I enjoy attending the Victory matches

    • Hey mate, I have also shared a post for $20 tickets for the upcoming Newcastle Jets game, instead of the usual $30. It's not free but better than nothing, I suppose :)
