Great deal, but don't need! Need to resist

  • 250ml is quite small, do you have anything bigger

I'll wait for the Aldi tumbler set deal for ~$10

    • Me too - but the advantage of crystal is it 'chimes' when it's clean. Aldi for the JW red if I'm ever that poor, this for the green…

    • I'd rather not gaze at my fine drinking ware and feel trashy. Each to their own.

      • +1

You feel trashy because you know it's from Aldi or because the Aldi glass has a reflection of yourself every time you take a sip?

    • The aldi ones are surprisingly great

    I picked 2 x 6 of these up here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/513791

Happy with the quality. Tempted at this price still.

I guess this is the type of present people give for weddings, hoping the bride & groom don't research too much…

Who brings a gift to a wedding? The worst kind of people. It's cash or whatever they've asked for. Never go rogue on a wedding gift. They'll never forget.

      • +4

TIL the worst kind of people are those who give a wedding gift

Especially considering pp prices for receptions these days. I'm glad I got married a long time ago.

    Any other deals?

  • What would happen if you machine washed these?

    • Dish washer soap would discolour them.

    • +2

Nothing. I've used these glasses daily for a couple of years (and I just bought this deal - as the cat broke one a few weeks back).

They've been through the diswasher dozens of times and they're still crystal clear, certainly not 'discoloured'

Thanks. Hate it when you have to hand wash something.
