    Targeted

    • Did you click on 'View More' at the bottom?

For me, it's towards the bottom of the list
and I got it on my "Essentials" card.

      • +1

I got the JB but neither of the alcohol store ones, as they know I’ll use those :)

        • I have used Liquorland and 1st Choice in the past and received the Vintage Cellars one.

    • not in my offers, agreed

  • Not available on my qantas ultimate card

    • I got it on mine

    • Nor on my vanilla Qantas Amex card :(

      • By vanilla do you mean the basic fee free Discovery card or is there some special actual Vanilla product that I've never heard of before?

        • I think it's actually the pre-Discovery fee-free Q Amex :)

  • +1

Can u buy JB gift cards and still get the $15 back?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • Even if you buy the gift cards online?

        • +2

I wouldn't do that. They use Stripe and people have had issues with Stripe processors in the past.

          • @kerfuffle: Thank you

          • +1

@kerfuffle: no, no issue at all ,did lots of times

            • @hnxhyz: Did you buy GC online recently and it triggered the Amex email ?

              • +2

@HardQuiz: I found buying a gift card online, on two separate cards, didn't trigger an e-mail but said offer would disappear from the Amex Offers 'Save to Card' section. So based on that it should work (still waiting on statement credit).

                • @Reveen: An update on the gift card purchases made yesterday mentioned above; under the 'Savings' tab it now lists the following for each Amex card:

                  You've saved with Amex Offers
                  SP JB HI-FI ONLINE
                  Redeemed
                  26/10/2022
                  ✓ You saved $15.00

                  and

                  You've saved with Amex Offers
                  SP JB HI-FI ONLINE
                  Redeemed
                  26/10/2022
                  ✓ You saved $15.00

'Savings' is the third tab after 'Available' and 'Saved to Card' under the 'Amex Offers' section.

Naturally I also stacked with Join JB Hi-Fi Perks and Get $10 Voucher when buying a product, after price match, using the two gift cards.

@Reveen: Confirmation including some funky time travel:

                    25 Oct SP JB HI-FI ONLINE -$15.00

@HardQuiz: no email but I already received $15 few days ago

    • Only one credit, so best buy a single 100 dollar one.

    • yes you definately can

  • Got it on Qantas Discovery card. Don't need anything so I'll just buy $100 iTunes credit. Thanks OP!

  • Not in mine.. have some useless fashion ones

  • Got it . Cheers OP.

  • Got it on 4 cards

  • Does anyone know if I buy this, through cashrewards, pay with my Amex, I get the extra 1.5% cashback from CR and 15% from Amex?

    • yes, as the two companies have nothing to do with each other

      • The thing is, the Cash rewards portal, almost looks like it's buying the card on behalf of you? It's weird. Have you used it to buy a card?

      • Yeah I'm almost positive this isn't going to work, through the CR portal?

      $15, not 15%

  • thanks, came in handy to pick up the ring camera with 40% off :)
    extra $15 off :D

  • Finally got targeted, but have nothing to buy

  • Did anyone use the Vintage Cellars offer spend $200 and get $20 back recently and got targetted for the offer again today?

I just used it about a week ago and got it again today so just wondering if there is an issue with the app although the end date of the offer is different but never seen an offer popup again within a few days after using it.

    • Lucky you! I used the previous one and didn't get it this time around

  • Did Amex solved issues with mobile payment (Samsung / Google / Apple Pay) not getting honored? or is this still a thing?

I once had Subway statement credit not honored because I used Samsung pay.

    • +3

Never had an issue with Google Wallet.

      • Same with me. I never even carry the physical cards. Only ever have Google Wallet.

        • Amex were going about • Excludes transactions made through a third party establishment or payment processor.

          • +1

@lufee: Weird. Empirically the Ozbargain wisdom has always been taken that to mean PayPal/Snip/Afterpay type payment platforms. I've never had a credit declined via Google Wallet. I got one paid like 3 days ago.

          • +1

@lufee: That means Afterpay and PayPal

            • @kerfuffle: Cool, will try again this time with Google Wallet, not Samsung.

Can I use Amex Offers using Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Android Pay?

Yes, provided the participating location accepts contactless payments. You still need to enrol your Card and pay using the same enrolled Card on your mobile wallet.

    • +2

I've had that before on apple pay… stupid chat consultants say it's 3rd party… but you keep escalating until you find someone who knows what they're doing.

  • Got it on my Discovery.

  • Got it on low rate

  • Got it on Discovery and Platinum cards. Bought the gift cards online.

    • +1

      Did you get $15 credit?

      • Yes, received. Check the statement showing the credit.

        • Thanks for confirming this.

  • damn didnt get it on my discovery.

  • Got it on my Essentials card :)

  • Only on one card.

  • +1

Got it but i dont know what to buy. Normally jb is overpriced

    • Sometimes, they had pretty decent deal like this one

  • Got it on primary essentials

  • Negatory

  • -2

It is weird as JB does not accept Amex :D

    • +4

Have you been living under a rock? JB Hi-Fi has always accepted Amex. It was only in the last few years they dropped their 2.65% surcharge on it.
