  • I'd like to put this in a laptop that's at least 2 years old. Is there much chance that the capacity would be too high for the laptop to 'recognise' it? I seem to recall that there are (or were?) upper limits on the capacity of SD cards that can be used in digital cameras and mobile phones …

2 years old laptop? should be fine. it was the REALLY old stuff which had the limits of 4GB, due to it being the common FAT file system being used on so many devices.

      • Ah OK, cheers mate, thanks for the knowledge.

yep, exfat for removable's, ntfs for windows, ext4 for linux, apfs for macos is the way to go

      • Some devices only support SDHC which is limited to 32GB, though a laptop card reader should be fine.

  • Any good for dashcams, or look out for a deal on the Samsung Pro Endurance range?

I need a storage upgrade for a Class 10 32GB MLC MicroSDHC card.

Go for the endurance range mate. It'll be too late to find out some recordings are missing after you're hit and run by someone. Speaking from personal experience. :(

  • Is this one good for a Nintendo Switch?

    • Should work fine.

    • yes.. it runs atmosphere quite happily on mine.

  • Dam when I need the 1TB mSD the other storage spaces go on sale. Watch when I buy this the 1TB goes on sale.
