One of my favourite sellers shenzhenshimaoshengjiakejiyouxiangongsi (MSJ Audio) is having a sale on SoundPEATS Air3 Pro, I only wear PRO headphones, otherwise the audio just doesn't sound PRO you know what I mean? I find when I listen to music in PRO mode, that life is just better, know what I mean? When I am walking in PRO mode, my stride is 2x more PRO, the gate between each step is more PRO, know what I mean?

These are -$15.80 at checkout, use the coupon under the headphones.

Correct, the pricing has crept up, the bankers tell us there is no recession, we are feeling it, in our ears!

  • What's the sound quality like? ANC work well?

    • +16

I have these and the Ankr headphones, these are better than the Ankr headphones, but Apple headphones or Sony headphones will crush these, especially the PRO lineups, they are real PRO, but they will also crush your wallet.

This PRO is like a PRO that never got drafted after showing huge promise in college basketball. All the PRO without the PRO league.

      • +4

These are PRE-PRO which is still PRO only not PRO-PRO if ya know what I mean

  • +5

Just one thing I'm not sure about… Are these the PRO version?

Other than price, how do these compare against 1MORE Comfobuds Pro (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08V5355R2/?psc=1) ?

  • How's the touch controls on these? I've only tried one other one with touch controls and they are awful, never works properly. I prefer earbuds with physical buttons but they basically don't exist anymore, only the QCY has them

    • Agree … please bring back an actual button on earbuds … stocking up on qcy models before they go touch controls only

  • Had a pair, i think air pro 2.
    Failed after 13 months.

They told me too bad so sad.

    • +2

This is PRO 3, that is PRO 2 + 1. Thankyou

    • -1

Statutory warranty would say otherwise, technically even if you purchased from overseas while living in Australia. Certainly should have no problem with purchases from Australian seller or platform.

    • +2

Really mine failed to after 14 months talked to Amazon on phone they emailed me label send em back got a credit on my account as my card had changed since I bought them very common problem the right ear would flash White and not work

      • I had similar problem with True Air 2 but I found a fix from a reddit comment and got them working again. Been solid since.

      • +1

Your lucky, I had a pair of sonics. One side failed after 6 months. Contacted Amazon, they said to contact seller.

Constant back and forth messages, first they asked what I wanted. I said refund, then they said ok half refund because I used for 6 months. I told them to give me replacement.

Never again will I buy soundpeats, very common issue

      • I had a pair of Soundpeats Mini Pro that failed in a similar way - right earbud would just go AWOL and required a full reset to get it working again. It would happen every couple of days, and since the reset required putting both earbuds in the case, was super annoying when it happened whilst out walking.

Lucky for me it was within 30 days, so just returned them to Amazon.

Valvoline. You know what I mean?

  • +2

Ordered these and the sound quality was terrible and didn't get loud enough vs the non-pro version. Maybe I got a dud.

    • +1

Any recommendation for us PRO’s on what might be more PRO?

      • +2

just get the non-pro version, if you don't need the ANC

      • Apple AirPod Pro 2.

        • Bought an almost new used AirPod Pro 1 on Ebay for $160 after years of living on either Tozo or SoundPeats. Now I know what I’ve been missing out on. Though still probably wouldn’t pay full price . It’s a good time to buy if you aren’t fussed with used products.

  • +2

I got these delivered in the 8th October. Paid $59.24 via a lightning deal through the same seller. Pretty good headphones, voice call quality is top notch. The ANC is non existent. Also has a playstore app for some adjustments. I read on a review they work better on android than iPhone.

    • The ANC is non existent.

Really? Scarbir said the ANC was reasonable?

  • multipoint? else no deal ta

    • +2

      Explain? Otherwise no understand ta

      • Possibly referring to connection of multiple devices via bluetooth?

      • connecting to two devices at the same time la. much needed these days for when travelling with personal and work phones.

        • +3

Argh yes, very much needed if a brand wants to use the word PRO, without this, it is not PRO

    • -3

Short answer is yes, they pair to two devices.

Long answer is yes, but to switch to the other device, you need to first disconnect it from the current device (I usually turn Bluetooth off) then initiate the connection on the other device.

Little bit of a two step… can be a bit inconvenient if you are not close to the first device.

Either that, or put it into pairing mode which sort of defeats the purpose of multipoint.

      • +3

That's not multipoint, that's just regular Bluetooth. Multipoint is a Bluetooth standard (i think) that supports simultaneously Bluetooth connections.

        • You are probably right - it’s some sort of implementation of it. Kinda like multipoint-lite.

It does save the pairing of the last two devices so you don’t have to pair again.

Non multipoint devices need to do the whole pairing thing to connect to the other device.

  • What's the 'hybrid' mean?

    • +4

Usually a bit of 'this' with a bit of 'that' ? :)

  • I have a couple of the air 3s, amazing at the price. how much better are these ??

    • These are PRO

      • Yes I know. Hence me asking how much better these are compared to the air 3 standard….

        • -4

You take standard and then you add PRO.

    • They are different beasts altogether.

The air 3 don’t have foam tips.
The pros have the foam tips and ANC.
The case is also bigger on the pros.

      • The pros have the foam tips and ANC.

        Isn't it silicone not foam?

        • +1

Sorry yes I meant to say silicone!

          • @cuteseal: I need foam tips for these as they dont stay in well - any idea's other than comfy which are ridicuously priced ??

      • Only Trueengine 3 SE comes with a pair of Foam tips. Really nice.

For those interested in a slightly cheaper alternative, there's the soundpeats life with 25% off: https://www.amazon.com.au/SoundPEATS-Life-Cancelling-Bluetoo…

Pretty similar to the air3 pro, but slightly different sound according to this review:

You get what you pay for I guess! :-/

  • Air3 Pro, the air in your earlobes are just 3x more conductive to audio when you wear these. Upvoted for the description but seriously the pro is gimmicky, get the cheaper no frills versions to avoid disappointment.

I quite admire soundpeats though, I could be wrong but I feel like they have grown exclusively by selling low-cost headphones on Amazon and have started to become a mainstream brand in some countries judging by the number of Amazon reviews and media/review coverage. All without a single event talking about how pro their pro headphones sound. Crazy growth for a brand launched in 2013.

    • +1

At this point, PRO has nearly no meaning to me anymore. When everything is PRO than nothing is PRO.

  • +2

have had these since April and love them. Right ear would start to hurt when wearing for too long but either I got better at twisting it into ear or just got used to it and now it doesnt hurt.

ANC is great, sound quality is great, case size is great, battery life is good enough, and the call quality is one of the best for soundpeats.

Holding the down the left earbud switches between passthrough, normal and ANC which is kinda hard not to trigger when readjusting the bud in your ear. Also sometimes one will get lose and require readjusting not to fall out when doing some activities.

They don't last on really long flights but they run out of battery one at a time so you change one until the other dies.

No brainer for a cheap set of ANC earbuds imo

    • Hi mate, I wrote this as a reply to someone else above but…

Have you looked into foam tips for these as I find they dont stay too well at the gym (right ear only prob for me) - any idea's other than comfy which are ridicuously priced ??
      Cheers

PRO is the only way to GO.

    • If I see you without PRO I cross the street!

I've also had these since mid July. Previously used Dudios, Airpods 1st gen(given from a friend), SoundPEATS Truengine 3SE and then SoundPEATS Air3 Pro. These earphones are definitely by far the best of the one i've used compared to the previous lot.
    - Very strong bass,
    - Good ANC
    - Clear voice calls
    - Good controls, (Not as responsive as the airpods, but still quite good)

Until two weeks ago, i was given the Airpods Pro 2nd gen for my birthday. I can say i was very disappointed with the bass on the Airpods Pro 2nd gen as it wasn't as strong as the SoundPEATS Air3 Pro (especially paying $399). The Airpods Pro 2nd gen are only slightly better with mids, highs and volume.

  • PETEY!

  • +1

Im in the market for some - but after my SoundPEATS Truengine 3 SE right one is now 1/2 the volume after 13 months, im very gun shy…..
unless i buy another pair and return the faulty one???? hmmmmm bad thoughts bad thought!

  • +1

I bought one of these and it arrived today. I charged it as per instructions and then paired with my iphone. Only one of the buds worked, so I reset the buds by putting them back in the charging case and trying again. Still the same.

So I unpaired to my phone and reset the phone and reset the buds case. Then they wouldnt pair at all.

Tried pairing with my mac and my ipad. No.

So Im returning them to Amazon.

    • Maybe try on an Android device?

      • Too late. I have already returned it and received a refund.

  • Received mine, decent for the price though call quality with background noise below expectations

Other gripe is seemingly having to have the case to turn the buds on/off. Anyone else found a way around this? i.e. turn on the buds manually using the touch button?
