Yeah but so are the rest of their ads. Did you see the apple event iphone ad? They used perspective to make the phone the person was holding look taller than the person lol. 100% appealing to the selfie crowd. It's just how ads are now rule #1 is they need to be ridiculous.
The marketing isn't really about what people do with a watch like this, it's what they can do.

Lol yeah. I think one overlooked feature is the watch ultra's diving ability. But who is going to use that except divers.

yeah I got mine on release day at the apple store day one with the ocean band no idea why people don't like the ocean band its the best band I think

couldnt agree anymore. iwatch is the ugliest watch ever, even tho I have been wearing one for years now purely due to the functionality. it is damn still ugly.
I did not expect the day the apple watch would break the $1000 barrier and be more expensive than some of their phones.
Puts that "all day battery test" apple watch ultra youtube video in perspective now. They tested the battery when using the apple watch ultra all on it's own without bringing their phone. So at $1000+ I think some will expect it to be able to replace their phone.
In the test results with sleep tracking the night before the watch ultra lasted 11 hours the next day with heavy use before the low battery warning came on.
What is one thing that is common among the two camps of "this is ridiculously overpriced!" and "nice bargain!"?

Unfortunately there are people who would buy a toilet bowl cleaner for $350 if it was an apple. I have a friend who drives a $1500 econobox but has the latest iphone and one of these onnhis wrist.
Apple is changing the normal perception to higher price so it becomes the new normal.
I agree from the technical reviews, the Apple Watches are the best for Heart Rate tracking and receiving messages consistently with the Cellular models.
I want to add the Apple Watch is not just the cost of the Watch $1199 but also you need an iPhone for this watch to properly function so add another $1000 - $2200
Its unfortunate that there is no Android version that is in a Square / Rectangular form factor in a Cellular model that has Heart Rate tracking as accurate as the Apple Watches

I love mine, too. It’s great for extreme activities, like trekking all over for those hard-to-find gift cards. If OzBargain didn’t have a watch app, the wearable market would be dead in the water
