    Oh, it's a computer case…
    I wouldn't have known if i didn't click the link…
Also we're Australian, price should also be in aud.

    • +7

Nah, I'm pretty sure that's a box for transporting snakes.

      • Here i was about to get dimensions of it to see if it can fit my sammich, an up and go and an apple.

        Silly me.

      • +1

        ??? It's for transporting ghosts.

It says it right there in the title!!!

    • Thought it was an outdoor gas fireplace. Not going to lie, considered buying it for a split second. Perfect as we move in to summer….

      • Just challenge accepted bro. Challenge accepted.

    • +1

Yeah, I don't know why people who post deals about their pet area/hobby expect that everyone else knows what they are talking about.

      • I did add tags shortly after posting

    • +2

Also we're Australian, price should also be in aud.

But there isn't an Australian price.

  • +7

So it's a Mini-ITX case? Just checking as this is the most sparse post and web site I've ever seen.

    • +1

Yes, although there is literally no mention of it anywhere on the page…

  • Additional local import taxes will likely occur outside of EU and US.

    • If the value is declared over $1000, customs will sting you.

      • +6

They might sting you either way now. Thanks to that grub jerry.

        https://www.abf.gov.au/buying-online/buying-online

Goods with a value of AUD1000 or less

The value of the goods and how they arrive in Australia will determine how we clear them for delivery to you and what duty, taxes and charges may apply.

        • Ah, that's excellent, as if the bad exchange rate wasn't enough already.

        • They might sting you either way now.

You will get slugged with GST on a low value (<AUD1000 landed cost) import if the overseas seller is registered to collect GST.

Given what I expect would be the very low value of exports to Australia by Louqe, I strongly doubt they'd be registered to collected GST on behalf of the ATO.

In any case (yes, pun intended) there would be no surprises as the GST, if any, would be levied as part of the checkout workflow.

          • @[Deactivated]: Hey. If the buyer of this case dont get pinged the gst. Then happy days.

  • +2

Looked like a microwave to me.

    • +1

Just set it for 5 minutes on high. She will be right.

  • +1

    +10% tax

    • No tax that I’m aware of. Unless it’s applied at customs when it arrives.

      • Well thats thanks to that grub jerry. anything we get from outside straya. We get pinged 10% gst.

        • It’s called a Government tax, Goods being a major player in GST

          • @BatmanAU: We know what it is. We never had it before for anything under $1k till that grub jerry lobbied for it.

            • @xoom: So what happens with these? Loque don’t charge GST or tax. Will customs charge you before you can grab it?

              • @cnut: Customs might if the seller dont charge it.

                • +1

@xoom: Stop with the misinformation. Louqe does not collect GST at point of sales and Customs will not collect it on entry. You only worry about GST if you're buying 4 or more cases.

                    I did say might.

                    • @xoom: You missed the important bits in your link:

                      • For goods with a value of AUD1000 or less, there are generally no duties, taxes or charges to pay at the border.

                      • However, From 1 July 2018, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) may be collected by overseas vendors of such low value goods when imported from overseas by consumers in Australia. GST will be charged at the point of sale and not at the border.

In this instance, GST is not collected by Louqe and since it's under the threshold (3 cases or less), Customs will not act on it.

                      • @m9: Should have bolded including this part.

**there are generally ** no duties, taxes or charges to pay at the border.

So not to sound like a blanket no tax, duties or charges on any purchases 1k or less.

                        • @xoom: Yes in this instance because Louqe does not collect GST and this case + shipping is under the threshold.

GST will be charged at the point of sale and not at the border.

                          • +1

@m9: Look im all for people getting gst free goodies from overseas just like the next guy just saying if they get pinged because some customs guy feel the need to flex a bit. One would know why.

And jerry is still a grub for lobbying for this.

                            • @xoom: Yup he's still a kant in my books. This is the only leeway left. Tons of us buy stuffs overseas from merchants that do not charge GST at point of sale. If you do that and it's under $1000, then you're safe. Exceed this threshold and you will get pinged. Of course if you buy from merchants that do collect GST then you will pay it up front.

Are Mini ATX cases so rare that consumers have to import from the US for twice the price of a mid-sized ATX case?

It is a nice looking case, but if I’m shelling out $300 for a shell, I’m spending even more on the other parts, so I’d want to be able to see the components inside too.

    • +8

Nah there’s plenty now and much lower prices locally. This is just a premium one that’s ultra small (8L) and made in smaller amounts hence higher price.

    • +4

you're looking at the best mini-itx case on the market money can buy (or at least at the top), these have been OOS constantly for the past 2 years so even seeing it in stock is cool.

it's built very well, fits most things, great airflow, review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNiMH1VYy8c

      • Fits most things is a crazy thing to say about this case. It doesn't fit jack. less than 10% of graphics cards over midrange spec will fit.

      • I don't think many would consider it to be the best money can buy anymore — for me that would be the Formd T1.

It's not bad at this price, if build/aesthetics takes priority over poor gpu compatibility.

  • Looks like something I would put my shoes in so my cats don't destroy them but they also don't smell.

    • Thought it was a cat carrier really.

    What is this?
    A safe?
    Shoebox?
    Xiaomi air purifier?

I believe it's a molecular container to keep your ghosts in; ala Ghostbusters ….

  • Looking for a new case, are these any good? Where is the power button and usb ports?

    • +1

Power is at the front. No USB that I’m aware of. If you want water cooling you need the extra top hat as these cases are only 8L. They’re really small.

Quality is meant to be very good. Beware that they only support 2.1 slot wide cards and minimal CPU heatsink clearance.

    • If you're interested in a small form factor case check out r/sffpc. They have lots of info and guides!

  • ..but will an RTX 4090 fit?

    • Just came here to ask, I’m looking for a new white case to go with my white card as it doesn’t fit in my current case…

      • +2

It will definitely not fit haha

  • Good price for an Xbox Series S.

  • +1

What's the most powerful GPU that can fit in this case? I've been waiting for a nice case to drop on here for ages and finally pulled the trigger.

    Had a look here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AddRvGWJ_f4B6UC7_Ift…
    and it apparently states;

    305 GPU Length
    144 GPU Width
    45 GPU Height
    2 GPU Slots

Are there any 40xx GPUs that would fit that category?

EDIT: so filtering the GPU table it seems that there's heaps of 4090s that would fit in this, but I'm pretty sure I'm looking at something wrong…

    https://imgur.com/a/e9ktT7E

    • +1

They are all hybrid cards, a bit like how you can get a liquid cooler for your CPU. If you get a top-hat, there may be room for a radiator, but it would depend on the card.

      • +1

luckily I did get the top hat - think a hybrid card might be the go!

    • Given that all 4090s seem to be triple slot, none will fit. A custom loop 4090 would though.

    • Should be able to fit RTX 3080 Founders Edition.
Depends if that's powerful enough or not.

      • Wanting this to be in the living room to play 4k over arc up to 120hz - so maybe not?

  • +2

This was an awesome case on release but the SFF world has moved on since then imo. 45mm of GPU height is particularly limiting nowadays, even a lot of midrange aib cards will exceed that. With more flexible options like the Meshlicious available locally for A$159, $300 (+ GST) seems kind of steep.

If you really like the look of the Ghost, the ZS Cases A4 v3.2 is worth a look as well — same aesthetic, more flexible CPU/GPU compatibility, and cheaper.

  • Can fit RTX 4090?

    • +1

Mate, cases double the size have trouble fitting a 4090 FE
      For the Ghost S1 specifically:

      GPU
      Dual-Slot up to 145 x 45 x 305 mm

4090 FE comes in at about 61mm, and most of the AIBs are sitting at 70+

      • +1

4090 is quite big for most real ITX cases.
To be honest, some of them can fit ROG 3090 already earned my respect.

  • +1

Mods on the LOUQE discord server mentioned there would be restocks, including the riser cable FYI

  • All Ghost S1 colours are back in stock, riser cables apparently stocking next week

    • No top hats in anything but large & white in case anyone is wondering.

      • All tophats (colour+size) are coming back in stock later 'today' going off their discord

  • +1

honestly the chat for this is one of the best i’ve seen - was so close to pull trigger but i want smaller 😅

  • +1

I'm gonna end up buying a NR200 because I always buy local, but it's so much bigger than this.
Had a mate that spent more and had to wait for a kickstarter to get one of similar volume back in the day.
If this was sold from Aus at $300 I'd be all over that.
Glad to see the SFF community isnt as small as it used to be.
