Cheap pizza on Thursday? What is this Tuesday?

Afterpay for Pizza? This buy now pay later craze is getting a bit ridiculous.

    • +1

It's cheaper to go into debt for pizza than just to buy it outright… apparently.

    • +5

It keeps you aware of your purchase for two months, so in a way it might be a good thing if it keeps you thinking about your bad meal choices, instead of just paying upfront and forgetting about it.

Couldn’t agree more. We’re headed for trouble if this keeps up.

  • any large pizzas?

PizzaHut's pizza are tiny! Sorry but they are really small compare to other normal local pizza shops.

    • how it compares to domino?
      Size and taste?

      • In general slightly better than dominos

        • +1

Depends on the franchise… My local pizza hut is so very bad (balwyn)

        • +1

No chance. I go past a Pizza Hut to get Domino's (both are bad compared to local smaller chain) if I am buying pizzas for guests.

      • +1

At least Domino are cheaper and to be honest, they could be a tiny little bit bigger than PizzaHut.

        • agreed, dominos is the best when it comes to cheap pizza

        • A normal pizza at my local Pizza Hut is 7-8000kJ (Supreme = 7990) , whereas Domino's is now 4-5000kJ (Supreme = 4936). So on that indicator, Pizza Hut are much bigger, and thus if the delivery fee for 3 pizza and 2/3 sides is +/- $1, they are better value too.

And Pizza Hut had for a long while a Chicken Supreme pizza on the traditional menu (no surcharge), whereas Domino's have only just introduced that.

          • +2

@neRok: pizza hut has thicker and more oily base. That is what is upping the kJ, it's so fatty. Domino's uses lower fat higher protein cheese, you can tell by the box when you finish, one PH has massive oil stains vs dominos.

Don't have to use Afterpay, paid via credit card $34 delivered.

  • +2

Dominos over Pizza Hut anyday IMO

  • If you have to afterpay for pizza then you have to question your spending habits

    • This is how they make money, exploration of those that can't manage their finances. The best bit, they don't even do any type of credit checks or anything!

    • +4

You do realise you can use Afterpay to gain access to deals, and not be a poor bastard. Just pay it off straight away. Not hard to comprehend.

      • I balanced out ur neggg.

Also if we wanna keep more balance in savings!

Just be diligent with these debt traps
