Most likely Sony Starvis sensor. Same sensor is in Elgato Facecam which I think is honestly the better webcam if you can wait until it's on sale.
Problem number one with Razer is Synapse software and just like all razer software it's dog shit.Also remember to use manual exposure. It works great to improve image quality on all these cheaper webcams. Just find webcam settings, find "auto exposure" or similar and hold blank white paper up while you turn it off. Or if that doesn't work just set exposure manually after turning off auto exposure.
Maybe if this method improves things for you enough you don't have to buy a new webcam.
It was $149 two days ago on Razer website and Amazon, I've waited and price went up. Hopefully the price will go back down again.

There were problems in the initial batch (v1.0.0), where they couldn't be upgraded, and the focus was jumping everywhere. They should have cleaned all of that stock out now.
While these don't have a settings app for mac, If you change them on a PC (that synapse app), it will retain the settings for another machine.
Probably the best HDR algo for low light of all webcams around.
