      Buy the single lens kit, then get the 14mm Panasonic Lumix 2.5 pancake from eBay ($165 delivered). This would be the best bang for buck. Don't bother with the Olympus 14mm 2.8.

      If funds are not an issue, then 20mm Panasonic Lumix 1.7 pancake is also highly rated, but more than double the price of the 14mm (the 14mm is more of a bargain).

      I have ordered the E-PM1 for my sister, and grabbed the 14mm pancake from eBay (lots of sellers are selling the lenses cheap from kits, hence the $165.00 price).

        Thanks mate sounds like a plan. Only issue is I have to wait till the 1st July to buy it because my parents are heading overseas on the 31st July so I can then claim the tax back as well. Hope they don't pull this camera from the sale before then.

          I was ummming and aaahhing about getting one of these lenses yesterday. But now today I noticed that they've added $20 to the shipping cost! And so have all the other sellers!

          They must want a piece of the action now with everyone in AU picking up cheap E-PM1's.

      I got an invoice via email, then when I pick it up, they print another invoice for me. That's Melbourne QV, looks like some place may not do it.

    They sent me a tax invoice via email this morning, I purchased the E-PM1 last night. They don't give you an invoice when you pick the goods up from their store. I just used the emailed invoiced for the cashback application.

    Picked up my latest toy this afternoon in black. Damn you Ozbargain. This is now my 3rd camera in the last few months.

    I just ordered and went to the store half an hour later without waiting for the pickup email. They said that they hadn't received the online order yet and told me to wait for 5 minutes. Camera was ready at the cashier a few minutes later.

        I ordered it for delivery. Since this model and the deal is so popular, I won't bet on finding one in store. I am buying it for my miss so white is the only option.

          Yeah i called them today, they're out of stock of the whites. Going to get some more in through store transfer but it'll be a week. They have lots of black ones they can swap with though but white > black!

      Why is white so popular? It does not look that good with silver lens…

      Picked up a black one yesterday afternoon and then ordered all the accessories from ebay:
      1. 2 spare batteries for $8
      2. 6 screen protectors for $2.4
      3. a generic lens pouch (hopefully will fit the camera with 14-42 for $2.8

      Ridiculous service from Alexandria HN (gardeners road):
      1. I asked to check the content of the camera, then once i opened the box i saw a lens cap sitting on top of the manual.
      2. the cap protecting the sensor is not attached to the body!
      3. the lens is in unlock position and with all the caps lying in the box in various location!
      4. the battery is IN the body!

      The cashier and another staff still proclaim that it is a brand new camera, I asked to open another one to have a look as a proof and they refused. Finally another cashier (at a higher level apparently) was informed and I told her what was going on. She asked me "Is this being like this when you opened the box". I said "Yes". Then she just told the others to "get him another one". No apologies or whatsoever from all of them and when I left they were shaking heads and doing small talk.

      I couldn't believe they cannot even do this kind of things right.

        If you can be bothered you can call head office and put in a complaint. Number of complaints against a store are are kept by head office and the franchisee cops it if they get too many. With that in mind most franchisees will follow any complaints up with the staff involved.

    I was thinking of doing pickup from a couple of their stores and checked and they had stock. Chose delivery so i didn't have to go out of my way… wish i had chosen pickup now :(

      Positives
      + better in low light
      + few extra mega pixels (for what it is worth)

      negatives
      - heaps more expensive in this offer
      - focus is not as fast
      - the lenses are nowhere near as compact. The camera is about the same size but the lenses are much bigger
      - not as many lenses available (but there is still plenty.)

        I've just pickup EPM1 from HN Willey Park. The camera is cheaply built, picture quality is not as good, not much improve compare to my old Fuji Finepix 6 Megapixel. Attually, I think you got what you pay for anyway.

          I call BS. either you cant use the camera or you havent looked at your 6mp fuji shots in a while. I printed some 11x14in prints from a epm1 and they come out great.

          Image quality is exactly the same as the ep3 which is a far more expensive camera.

      I bought the EPL2 more than a year ago, it's awesome with the Panasonic 20 1.7 lens. The Micro 4/3 lens selection is much better than what Sony can offer.
      I ordered the white EPM1 so I can share lens with my GF.

    Ordered black E-PM1 for pickup from from Broadway, Sydney. Was in stock when I placed order, then got an email saying it'll be on backorder for 3 days. Second email, backorder for 21 days.

    I needed it soon which defeats the purpose of the deal for me. The HN person on the telephone was extremely evasive when I asked how long it would take to get a refund, is there anything I can do to expedite the process?

      call head office, 02 9201 6111, ask to speak to someone regarding online. Get them to sort it out. Maybe they could get it from a different store.

      Worked for me when a store wouldn't match the online price for a router. Girl at the checkout said they wouldn't match online. Pointed out that if i went home, filled in the order online i would be back to the same place to pick it up at that price.

      Called HO from the car park. They called the franchisee who came out and put it through for me. Cant complain in the end.

    Ordered a black Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 Single Lens Kit late on Friday night, and I got a call from the manager at the local (Frankston Vic) store today, Monday to ask if it was OK to drop it off. I paid for the postage thinking it would come from some central wharehouse. Anyway 10 mins later he turns up and hand delivers it to me. Pretty pleased with that.

So I emailed (sat 23/6) web site asking how long I might expect to wait for delivery - no reply. Price is outstanding but I'm not confident they can deliver… what to do?

      I would say they the stock they have the most of is black & silver.

      The last time I got a stock card included was the very first Canon Digital Ixus way back in 2000. I think it was an 8MB CF card, yes thats MB not GB lol.

      Would you like a 128MB SD card comes with it? this will only hold 20 pictures in highest resolution….

      Even though DC had always been came with SD card they were pretty much useless. (e.g. 3.2MP comes with 16MB, 2.0MP comes with a 8MB etc)

      I welcome the move as this is more environmentally friendly and we don't need to be struck with free SD card with small capacity and slow speed

      No interchangable lens camera (including SLRs) i have purchased or seen has had a card in the box. It is industry standard not to have one in this class of camera.

      Can't help on the SD card question, but for the pickup option, I just went to the store I chose around 30mins after ordering. I had to wait maybe 5mins or so for them to get the items, but I got them in the end. I got an invoice from them in-store as well as email.

    Order the EPM1 on 20/06/2012 for pick up. Received a call from HN Martin Place to advise they have none EPM1 in stock and the wait time is likely to be at least 1 month. So called HN online to cancel the order and currently await full refund

    All in all, not a satisfactory online shopping experience with HN at this instance

      Went to Harvey Norman Melbourne City today (30th June 2012).

      All the Olympus micro-4/3 cameras (including the Olympus OM-D EM-5) were listed as 25% off.
      I think some of the Sony NEX cameras were 30% off.
      The only camera I saw which was listed as 50% off was the Panasonic GF3 with twin lens kit.

      I was most interested in the Olympus OM-D EM-5, which with a 14-42 kit lens (not the 12-50 kit lens, unfortunately),
      had a sale price of about $1040.

      Really tempting, except I have only last month purchased a nice Panasonic GH1 with 14-140 mm for $700 at Melbourne Airport (last one left, I was told…). I also have plenty of micro-4/3 lenses
      and 'legacy' Pentax lenses with adapters and have no use for a 14-42 kit lense, but there was no 'sale price' for just the Olympus OM-D EM-5 body. To be fair, if you look at a website like Ted's Camera, you will find the 'body only'
      price for the EM-5 is more expensive than Ted's body+kit lens price!

    ordered a black Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 Single Lens Kit firstly and then went to HN nearby to check the actual item out, then i found epl3 is a better choice, checked the online price, it is now $773 with twin lens. The price comes down to $579 after paypal discount. plus there is also another $75 cashback from Olympus atm with my TRS credit brings the total price to $450 mark. Really sweet deal to replace my 5 years old canon PS IS5s . I was kicking myself hard as i missed out panasonic gf3 deal last Saturday now a happy man again. Thanks OP,
