Work bought a cheapie toaster (might not be the same as this one)
for $9 and the toasting was very uneven, always burnt some corners
and certain portions of the bread was always way better done than
other parts.Not good at all.
Seems like there is more to it for a toaster.
I'm yet to find a good modern toaster, I haven't had a decent one since my old 60's Sunbeam Vista full-auto…now that sucker was a great toaster! It doesn't seem to matter what you spend ATM coz they're all crap nowadays!
I had the same search, until i saw the Sunbeam CT45B toaster in action at a friends house.
Perfect, even, golden toast every time.
It is not cheap (about $66) but every time my toast pops up, i think "just perfect"I bought mine on special from harris scarf a few years ago now.

it's their everyday normal price, but I would not recommend these kmart toaster!
as it is slightly smaller than other toaster(some bread couldn't fit in)I bought my cheapo toaster from big W at $6.97… but at this price, it's not bad

Just because the price isn't discounted doesn't mean it can't qualify as being a good bargain..

I've had one of these for a year and a half now, and its fine. Sure, most of the settings burn the bread but on lowest it works good enough.
