Slightly cheaper than last posted deal. Good for 1080p gaming. Ends 30/10/22 or while stocks last.

OCs and undervolts to 2700 like a champ as well. half decent for 1440p depending on game and if you're willing to sacrifice a bit of quality.
For my case with e-sport game grinding only (CSGO and LoL), this card is enough for my 4k monitor with max settings :D
Should be manageble at 1440P for now with tweaked settings, but if you are planning on using for next year or two, the 6700XT/3060Ti is a better card for that purpose.
Better, yes, but also double the price. Not worth it IMO. Better off just buying this and getting another card in the future.
Great deal! Was just about to post this and saw it up lol
With only 10 bucks different (and less because the sapphire deal is free shipping), I'll get the Sapphire over MSI anytime. Also sapphire is significantly smaller than this one (193 mm vs 238mm), make it really good for sff builds especially the sub 10l cases.
Can anyone confirm or chime in?
Is the Sapphire a better buy than this MSI?
For some reason MSI is sticking to using plastic back plates on almost all their graphics cards.. ( no issues with this model as it has no back plate at all so all good :)
Apart from that.. They both make high quality PC part either brand would be fine…
I place the AMD partners in this order >
A List - Asus, Sapphire, MSI, Gigabyte, PowerColor, XFX.
B list - Gainward, ASRock,
C list - Biostar, Club 3D, Diamond, Force3D, HIS, VisionTek,
D list - Generic Chinese brands that mostly sell on Ali-express or WishHow much faster is 6600xt? Waiting for a deal on that for a while now.
@wintersnow911: 15% faster using around 132w while gaming vs the the 6600 uses 100w
Usually Sapphire will have better thermal than the MSI. I can't find a post for 6600, but there are plenty of comparison between MSI and Sapphire 6600 XT, and most of them favor Sapphire. On the other hand, entry card like this barely use any power so more thermal doesn't necessary mean 'bad' thermal, just not as good.
Main point is still the small size for sff build
The MSI armor series aren't known for their thermals. A decent price for now though.
its their lowest level card but the 6600 using 100w while gaming.. a Potato could cool it :)
Steve from. GN would disagree with the thermal conductivity and life span of potato's used as cooling for GPUs…. I'm sure he has graphs and 40min diatribes explaining why….
Even though thermal wouldn't be an issue, I would not recommond the Armor series at all. I had the Armor GTX1080, it was very plasticky and felt cheap. It was also ugly and HUGE for a 2 fan card.
Same with my Armor RX580. They weren't cool cards to begin with, and the Armor ones were plasticky, hot and loud.
Just one thing to keep in mind… There are 5700 and 5700XTs not even selling on eBay when listed around the $275 mark… Since RT etc is pointless on these cards and if it's a place holder for a future upgrade … Worth checking out ebay
Well not everyone like to buy used card, especially for entry level.
Nope I'm not a fan either but it's an option for others and they are quite a bit cheaper. So depends on your budget, Just good to know what options there are….
Yep definitely worth checking. Can also get used 6600 for similar.
So much better than the 6500XT for the money, treat yourself to a useable VRAM amount, useable encoder and pci-e connection that doesn't immediately cripple the card on a pci-e 3.0 system.
I had a RX 580 Armor and, like this one, the fans stop spinning when the card is not being used, which I really liked.
Honestly, fine at 1440p too, as long as you don't mind not running all games at ultra settings
