Just want to put out there, a lot of Australian retailers are selling the UK model as well (-GB sku rather than -AU). Can't comment for every case though. No differences in product but might help some price match prospects.
According to specs on the au and gb pixel pages, both models are the international G1AZG sku. The issue I could see is warranty related, I don't know if google AU will honour the warranty on the phone sold from the UK. I'm assuming warranty would need to go through amazon and the phone be shipped back to the UK.
