Guess what everyone, our favourite deal's back and they raised the prices. It's now an extra dollar for the OzBargainer favourite and quite frankly I'm outraged

My newest conspiracy is that KFC redesigned their whole app just to bring back Cheap as Chips with a higher price (expecting fanfare for bringing back the deal)

Anyway thought you guys might wanna know.

Cheap as Chips contains:

          i couldn't see CAC before but when they readded it, you just add this into cart and then next page should show the options which brings up the $6.95. add that then remove CAC

            @strangeloops66: yes CaC was not available before, but it worked with other bigger meals. Even before the update the addon also appeared in other meals

    I have to say, the delivery charge is a killer for those of us that have a sub to our delivery service. When most others do it for free, they charge $8.95.

    Could be worse, though. Some places charge $12.95 for delivery.

    It's good to see CaC back again though. Stonkin' value.

        For example, DoorDash has a $10/m subscription that waives the delivery fee with most places.

        Except KFC still charges the $8.95

    last time i got this they gave me 2 standard and 5 wings
    complained about it on the app, went back to grab my 8 pieces of chicken for free and got 4 wings and 2 drumstick 2 breast.
    what is the ratio of different parts of chicken are you suppose to get in this pack?

      A standard KFC bird is 2 thighs, 2 drumsticks, 2 ribs, 2 wings and 1 breast.

          In the US they don’t cut the bird into 9, only 8 so the rib has the breast as well like it should have , same with Popeyes , I love the keel (as it was called when I worked there)

    I have always had cheap as chips as a menu item in my app for as long as I can remember and its always been $21.95.
    If I wait long enough I get a $5 off voucher from KFC to 'come back' . Not sure what all the fuss is about for something that's always been on the app?
    I am in NSW in case that makes a difference.

    A bit off topic - does anyone use Build Your Own Bucket?

    I noticed that the minimum number of items has increased from 3 to 5.

    I used to use it quite often as it is cheaper to by wicked wings and chicken pieces using the bucket.

    How many people is this aimed at feeding? It seems like 4 sides would be plenty for 4 people, but 2 pieces of chicken and 1.5 nuggets seems mean.

    Saw getting 2 of these as a slightly cheaper replacement for the giant feast that I usually get for the four of us, with leftovers, but 8 sides is OTT.

      You get 6 large sides with Giant Feast, so 8 large sides with 2x Cheap as Chips isn't too far off.

      Giant Feast and 2x Cheap as Chips are quite comparable. 2x Cheap as Chips gives an additional:

      • 1 OR chicken piece ($3.00 on menu, more realistically worth around $1.50 each)
      • 2 large sides (on top of the 6 large sides in Giant Feast, $5.95 on menu upsell)
      • 1 dipping sauce ($0.50 on menu)
      • $1 in your pocket

      in exchange for:

      • 6 nuggets ($6.45 on menu)

      If you'd rather have the nuggets, go with the Giant Feast.

      Is a good deal if the meal you get resembles the picture and the whole process doesn't come with a side order of PTSD. Maybe a 30% chance it will be a good deal in my experience. 60% chance of one of the following, Chicken missing, cold, just wing pieces, overcooked, run out of chicken, server is rude to you, another customer threatens you or a trifecta wait for 40 minutes and then they run out plus someone is rude (got this one a few times).
