Got too exited. I thought 2.27kg for $39.
Still too expensive, that’s more than $50 per kg after shipping.

    • +2

Agreed. When Chemist Warehouse have their big Musashi sales you can grab a 2kg tub of 100% Whey for ~$42. Otherwise, Bulk Nutrients is my go to even though the price has jumped a fair bit in the last few years.

I question IF in my whole life time could see 2.27kg for $39. Would die a happy man ;)

  • -5

This is not a deal. $88 for 2.27kg

    • Hey itslittfam,

      ON 100% Whey 2.27kg RRP is $129.90.
During this sale, it's discounted to $87.99 - The cheapest you'll find this anywhere else is $109.

I agree this is expensive for 2kg of protein, but from my research it looks like a good deal for ON Gold Standard, which is (apparently) a very high quality protein. Are you able to find it cheaper elsewhere?

Also bear in mind that this is a scoop of only 31g of powder. Whilst a competing product (VPA for example) is cheaper at 'only' $59 for 2kg, the serving size is 80g, hence the per-serve price is still better value with ON.

      • What VPA protein are you using that is 80g a serve? WPI is 30g serve for 27g of protein.

      • Their WPC is also 30g a serve

  • OP - you may want to look into this. Get it when directed via google search

    • Thanks for picking this up - it's being sorted out.

You just wanted to flex your iPhone 14's Dynamic IslandⓇ in the screenshot didnt ya

      • +3

Bahaha I would much prefer if that didn’t appear in screenshots but hey if we flexing it’s the 14 Pro thank you very much.

  • Not a deal in the slightest.

    • Hey Vaper.

This is 42% off the price of ON Gold Standard - you won't find it anywhere else at that price during this sale.
Yes, there are cheaper proteins out there, but take into account the quality of the protein, cost per serve and protein per serve.

      • What about at aminoz?

        • $67.15 for the same ON Gold Standard tub.

And if you're referring to their home brand - you can research that difference in quality. But price wise, similar inc shipping.

Below RRP is a meaningless marketing gimmick.

  • whats the expiry date?

    • +3

Our current inventory is end of 2023 + 2024.

  • Hi, when is the expiry date on the 2.27kg one?

    • +4

Current inventory ranges from end of 2023 + 2024.

  • I get WPC from VPA regularly but their prices have jumped significantly since my last order. Need an alternative.

  • Prices have gone up everywhere. Not just VPA

  • Anyone looking at buying should check out AminoZ. Just paid $120 for 3kg of pure whey isolate (not a blend like this). More protein by volume and better bioavailability, less carbs and lactose

  • +3

Can you do a deal on the ON Isolate?

  • No free shipping ???

  • Are people really recommending Musashi. isn't that a retail watered down product?

  • +1

So - how much does 1 of these tubs whey :-)

    (i'll see myself out)

Not a bad deal but could be lower. deal normally 103 on amazon for 2.27kg which is 87.99 here.

P.S. if your getting this deal get it today with ShopBack extra 20% off.

  • +2

No idea why people are complaining about this deal, it's a good price for the product. The 907g tub price is lower than amazon has had at any point in the past year. The last time amazon was a lower price on the 2.27kg was almost a year ago (Dec 21?). Yeah, the $10 shipping / $150 min spend is a bit higher than some others but isn't exorbitant.

If you're comparing the quality of ON to AminoZ's own brand you're crazy. ON actually mixes into a liquid, AminoZ (tbf I've only had their vanilla flavour, others might be better) mixes up thick and gluggy like casein. As for price matching yeah AminoZ might honour it but honestly, any company that advertises a "10% price beat guarantee" with T&Cs capping it at $1.00 is trying to mislead customers. Never ordered from EliteSups before but doubt the customer service can be any worse than AminoZ. Sure if they do the price match you save $4 but I'd rather support the company that is actually trying to offer a good deal.

    • I agree with the gluggyness. Have tried banana, strawberry and chocolate and you really have to use a Nutribullet to get it smooth. I do 2 scoops with a few eggs, peanut butter and milk which puts me at about 60-70g of protein for a serve.

Haven't tried ON personally but with the mass I've put on with AminoZ Ive got no reason to change it a up

      • Thanks for this reply - good to know it's with the other flavours too.

    • Really can't be bothered signing up to SB. Noted the banner says the sale is going for another day so fingers crossed CR will be offering 20% tomorrow.

  • Amino Z have 3KG for WPI for $90 delivered which is pretty good.
