HOW ARE THE GIFT CARDS DELIVERED?
Once we have confirmed your payment into our bank account your e-gift cards will be delivered to your email. This should take approximately one working day to be approved. - Please note deposits on Friday afternoon or the weekend may not appear until Monday morning. To avoid delays please be sure to enter the correct email address and be sure to include the order reference number.

    Hi,

As an alternative look at buying Ultimate Teens (Kids or Home) Gift Store Card from Coles and getting 20x Flybuys Points (Limit 5 per Flybuys Member Card) via https://www.coles.com.au/catalogues-and-specials/view-all#vi…

Yes, you would be paying full Retail, but with 2 Flybuys Cards you can buy 2 lots of 5x $100 Cards and later use the Flybuys to buy whatever. Expires 27 September.

Redeem Your Gift Card is a bad option in your case.

Its only payment option is bank transfer, so if for some reason your payment does not go through OSKO, you’ll be waiting a couple of business days. I also suspect there is some sort of manual processing required before a gift card is dispatched to you. The one and only time I used RYGC, I submitted a bank transfer in the morning (which was via OSKO) and received the gift card via email in the afternoon (and this was on a work day).

Considering you appear to be in the ACT, my advice is tailored to account for that…

If you go to Woolworths, they should stock 10% off TCN TEEN and TCN HER gift cards, which can be redeemed at JB Hi-Fi in-store, or you can exchange them for digital JB Hi-Fi gift cards that can be redeemed in-store or online. If you opt for an exchange, the gift cards should arrive within minutes, but I will not guarantee this.

It is late night shopping tonight in the ACT (i.e. JB Hi-Fi - excluding Fyshwick - should be open until 9pm tonight), so it may make more sense to go in-store with a stack of TCN TEEN/HER gift cards. Physical TCN TEEN/HER gift cards purchased from Woolworths should be activated as soon as a checkout prints out the activation receipt.

However, I would suggest avoiding Woolworths Metro stores if you can, as I am not sure whether those stores are actually discounting TCN HER/TEEN gift cards at the moment. If they are…:

    • Hawker - has the biggest range of gift cards of any Woolworths Metro store I have visited in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra (and is on par with the gift card range found at a full-sized Woolworths supermarket)

    • Franklin - carries less stock of gift cards than Hawker, but usually has TCN HER/TEEN gift cards.

    • Bonner - has a very small selection of gift cards, and I don’t recall whether they even stock any TCN gift cards.

    • Cameron Avenue (Belconnen) - has a tiny selection of gift cards, and I don’t recall whether they even stock any TCN gift cards. The staff are also generally hopeless and it is hard to get in and out of the store if you travelling there by car.

Please don’t ask me where to find stock of TCN HER/TEEN gift cards, as I am not in the ACT!

Thanks for the excellent response, however I do not want to trek out again tonight to save about $50 then entering about 10 cards in.

I went to Woolworths in Belconnen mall but they only had 3*$50 HER cards left, everything else was cleaned out so I got those.

I think I will just buy a $1200 shopback card and get the 2.5% cash back, I think those are instant, right?

Fair enough. Sometimes you have to wonder whether the extra effort is really worth it. Personally, I would trek to Kippax/Holt and Charnwood too, as they usually have good stock levels during these kinds of deals, but I am the sort of person who doesn’t factor in time or effort or fuel costs with these kinds of deals, and just chases the pure percentage discount!

Btw, I’m not surprised to hear that Belconnen had basically no stock, as that store typically runs out fast during these kinds of deals.

Shopback should be instant, but I’m the wrong person to ask, because I don’t have a Shopback account. However, considering Shopback’s gift card portal is powered by Prezzee, it should be pretty much instant and you should be able to exchange that Shopback gift card for 2x $500 JB Hi-Fi gift cards and 1x $200 JB Hi-Fi gift card.
