A word of caution when working with Anycubic - their post sale support is atrocious. Anecdotally, I've had both an Elegoo and an AnyCubic have components break on me - Elegoo just needed a photo and the reference and sent out a replacement part free of charge, same process with AnyCubic is at 3 months and counting, they've delegated me to an engineer to fix the issue who then forwarded me to after sales (off Ebay) who after being repeatedly told exactly which part needs to be replaced, have taken over a month to ship the part and continue to stall on sending it out. Curiously, the part I'm after is for sale on their site yet I'm constantly told is not in stock.

    • what elegoo printer did you have?

    • :( That's not acceptable. Can you PM me your order number or some details? I shouldn't have to of course, but maybe I can find out what's going on and see if my contact can assist at all.

      • Thanks, I've PM'd you.

        • Bad news: the part you’ve requested (FEP film) is out of stock in Aus warehouse.

Good news: My contact tells me your part has already shipped out from china as of 14th September. I’ll message you tracking.

Better news: AnyCubic have said they would like to apologise for the delay and frustration, and said to me next time the eBay store (more specifically, their overseas AU warehouse) has stock of FEP film, to contact them and they will send you one for free.

My own 2 cents: FEP film is a standard consumable part for resin printers, and from my own experience the life of the film will vary widely depending on (1) your settings, (2) care in cleaning and (3) thickness of the film. They require replacement more often than FDM print bed surfaces for example.

    • Might be dependant on the problem.

Mine has been pretty positive thus far. Problem with my mono was a couple of emails/photos and then a new mobo came in the post.

My Mega-S was too hard to prove (frame alignment) so I gave up.

      • It was a fairly common problem pertaining to a replaceable element of the printer that perished a lot sooner than warranty would suggest, so more the fact that it's taken the time and effort to reach this stage than anything else.
