How's this qned versus LG's other series, like nano led and OLED C2?

    • +6

sits above nano and below oled… qned91 is lg's latest mini led

    Hey mate.
You linked in this years model.
The clearance one is last years model.

  • It's the 2021 model, not the latest.

  • I've just upgraded form my tcl piece of shite, to the 65 nano91 the picture is amazing , the Qned would be next level , quality of the remote and menus and settings are fantastic ..

  • Differences between 2022 over 2021 model?

    • +3

Better blacks, Much improved Dimming and Blooming control apparently.

  • Good price but I hate that WebOS. Is there a way to replace it?

    • Get a Chromecast w/ Google TV or a NVidia Shield depending on your use case

      • You're still limited by webos - it kicks in for software updates, Bluetooth connections, sleep timeouts - so you have to use multiple remotes. That was my experience. I'd prefer replacing the launcher altogether if that was possible.

I like Webos, just felt the need to say that as you may discourage people with your preferences.

I liked web OS from 2019 and earlier quite a lot. Not to yuck your yums, but since they redesigned it I think it’s really really really bad.

Believe oled is better so unsure why people would get this at rrp when it's basically the same price as oled

    • If price was equal, they usually wouldn't *. But you can't compare discounted prices to RRP.

If both are at RRP, this will be cheaper. If both are on sale, this will be cheaper.

      • Except for bright rooms, or other personal preferences.

The hisense u7g/8/9 is a better deal, until 2023 stock drops next year.

That is if you can get any, plus the u78 if you can calibrate it, can look just as better as oled.

    • The hisense u7g/8/9

People said they are not the same version as the US and not as good.

      • The panels are the same, software and UI, including hardware are different.

But the ug7 has professional calibration built in, with richer dark blacks, the panel is 120 FPS detected but hardware wise not implemented due to the difference in USA version to aus/NZ version.

The panels are the same so your getting a great deal under 1000$ aud for the ug7 65 but the ug8 suffers darker blacks but better colour saturation.

First LG had OLED, then Samsung came up with QLED as a confusion tactic, now LG makes QNEDs to confuse people about QLEDs.

You may not like it, but this is what capitalism looks like at peak performance.

    • Now that Samsung has come to the OLED party, I expect LG to launch a QLED line!

      • Sony have QD-OLED, LG will have QN-OLED πŸ™„

  • None of stock in Victoria but they have an OLED model 2022 (discontinued) for 2k9 which seems a good deal too.
